I have a crazy schedule that may have me working anywhere from 3-5 days a week at my other jobs. But I have lots of time where I am off for walks or drop-in visits. I also have a responsible teen that helps take care of Cheeseburger and loves dogs as well.

I have a fenced yard and a friendly Frenchie. I also love taking longer walks on a greenway or walkable neighborhood. We occasionally host a black Lab at our home as a trade with friends for doggie boarding.

I love dogs. It depends on what is available and where the dog is most happy. Sidewalks. Parks. Backyards. Fetch. Brushing/combing. Snuggling. Rides in the car. Going to dog friendly places.

I love dogs! I believe dogs are part of the family and definitely a gift from above. I have a blue merle French bulldog, Cheeseburger (my at the time, 13 year old son, chose the name🍔). Cheeseburger is my therapy, my heart and my baby. I used to co-own the sweetest, most loyal Rottweiler, Freakie Jim (I did not name him either). I grew up with a huge, boisterous yellow Labrador, Jake (also did not name) who was a puppy till he was 5 years old. You know what I mean if you know Labs. I think dogs get me and, for the most part, I get them. My parents have had a string of Spaniels-Katie, Rosie, Philly and Peggy. Next lifetime, I'm coming back as a dog! I volunteer with the Humane Society of Charlotte. We enjoyed taking Pinto from Animal Care & Control on a staycation. In my free time, I love to travel, spend time with friends and family and learn as much as I can about anything I can, true nerd at heart. One time I almost missed my cruise departure because I went to find dog food for the roaming dogs on the streets of Belize. Luckily, I found some dog food and made it back on the boat. I have a flexible schedule and availability. References are available upon request

Leigh is an animal lover and enjoys spending time with dogs! She has the knowledge and ability to care for them but also the desire to be with them. She takes her own dog with her when she travels and puts his needs and comfort first. Leigh interacts with and includes animals! She takes them on car rides, walks, plays and snuggles with them. Leigh has watched my dogs and they were very well taken care of! I never worry when she is responsible for them when we are away. She also routinely dog sits for other friend's dogs and treats them as if they were her own.
Leigh: Easy to write a "testimonial" for her as an outstanding pet sitter, walker, good in any emergency person. We all know there are "animal people". How else did we get through Covid? Leigh is responsible, good on her feet, and loving. Ideal as someone to trust with making the right decisions for someone special that you as a pet owner have committed to and therefore want only a responsible sensible person in charge when you can't be there. It may be for a day or weeks--whatever the circumstance calls for. Generally it will be a planned absence but even if it's a sudden emergency, she's the one for you. I recommend her for this role without reservation. Lucky you.
Leigh has watched my lab before and is always so great about sending me updates and pics and making her feel at home. My dog can be a bit snobby (even though she’s a lab), but she gets along well with Leigh’s dog - an amazing Frenchie named Cheeseburger. Leigh is always positive and fun and patient with my furry child. She’s very responsible, and I highly recommend her!
Leigh was wonderful with my fur kids! My dog was willing to go anywhere with her and felt really comfortable. She sent picture updates as well as progress reports which always made me feel more settled while I was away. I also have a cat he made himself a new friend and sat with her on the couch each night. My home was left just as I left it spotless as though she wasn't even there! Your fur kids will be in great hands Leigh is a genuine person fun loving person who will treat your animals as though they were her own.
