I have been around dogs all my life, from owning pets to volunteering at the Humane Society. I have owned several dogs over the years (German Shepherd, lab, pit/xolo, bulldog) and currently am the proud owner of a sweet Goldendoodle. I have also fostered several dogs and puppies through the Lawrence Humane society. I can keep dogs crated or allow to roam the house- completely open to owner's wishes. My house has a fenced backyard and I work from home several days a week so the dogs are never left alone too long. I also love to take long daily walks with the dogs! I believe that a good amount of exercise helps decrease stress and anxiety and can help a dog feel more comfortable in a new environment.

Leigh was awesome with Auggie! It was his first time at a sitters house and he had so much fun playing in the backyard with Leigh’s dog.
Leigh was able to provide Rufus with plenty of activity and outside time. He was obviously very comfortable with Leigh and her family. It was a very positive experience.
Our dog was well cared for during her stay. Leigh kept us updated with pics and updates. We’d definitely recommend to others.

Schedule
I work from home most days and can keep a close eye on the pets. I like to make sure dogs get at least one 30-45 minute walk each day plus lots of outside play.

We have a fenced backyard to offer lots of outside playtime without fear of dogs escaping. We do have children but have fostered many dogs and the children are familiar with handling new dogs and giving them space.

A typical day
I love to take dogs on long walks and to the dog park for off-leash running. I also love to train dogs and help them learn new tricks.
