My name is Leigh, and I am a dedicated pet sitter and dog walker with a lifelong passion for animals. Growing up in North Carolina, I was surrounded by both large and small animals. I have personally owned dogs for the past 25 years. Following the recent loss of our two beloved dogs in 2024, I found that pet sitting and walking would be a meaningful way to continue sharing my affection for animals. I am available for pet sitting services in your home as well as my own, which features a large, securely fenced yard. I am eager to meet your pet and provide them with attentive care and companionship. I would be happy to provide you with regular updates, including texts and photos. Leigh is amazing! She truly loves dogs and welcomes them into her home as if they’re her own. My senior dog wasn’t eating well the first two nights so Leigh paid extra close attention and tried a few tricks to get her to eat and it worked! My dog had a wonderful and relaxing time staying at her home. She also has a big fenced in yard that was perfect for my hound who loves smells. We will absolutely use Leigh again for boarding.
Leigh helped Chloe get acquainted with the other dog she was sitting, her new surroundings and the other humans in her home. They went for a long walk around Burke Lake which helped Chloe adjust and bond with Leigh and her new dog friend! Looking forward to having Chloe stay again!
Leigh was amazing with my dog while I was home for the holidays, I had no worries Rosie was in good hands an will be using Leigh again!
Leigh is a great dog sitter! We had just adopted a new dog from the shelter and I was a little nervous to leave him for the night, but he settled in quickly at her house and loved running around in the big fenced yard. Leigh was quick to respond to any questions we had and texted us pictures/updates throughout the weekend. She was also very patient with our pup and helped him feel at home. Would definitely recommend!

Schedule
I work in an office during the week and on occasion from home. Weekends and evenings I am home and will spend time with them.

I am also well versed in special needs as my babies have had medical issues. I have given medication and shots to my animals and happy to follow your care list and needs.
A typical day
Because of the size of my fenced-in back yard, we can play fetch, sit in the sun, and hang out. I also have a dedicated space for animals when they want/need alone time. I am also lucky to live near parks and love walking dogs to the lakes near me.
