Every pet treated like my own
I've loved animals for as long as I can remember, growing up surrounded by dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits and guinea pigs. That early passion turned into a lifelong commitment to animal care. Since 2023 I've been a Trusted Housesitter with 20 five-star reviews, caring for a huge range of animals along the way — dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, horses, donkeys, fish and even a tortoise. Whatever the animal, I treat it like my own. My experience runs deep. While living overseas I volunteered at animal rescues, specialising in animals with disabilities or behavioural challenges. I fostered a dog with no use of his hind legs who relied on wheels or a drag bag to get around and was also incontinent — so I'm no stranger to complex, hands-on care. Back in the UK, I've continued fostering dogs with behavioural problems, helping them build confidence and trust. I also spent a year working at a veterinary practice as a receptionist and animal care assistant, deepening my knowledge of animal health and handling, particularly with dogs. Your pet's comfort, safety and happiness will always be my top priority. I'd love to look after them for you.

Safety, trust & environment
I will ask questions about your pet so I can understand their behaviours and how best to keep them safe. This includes understanding your house rules, and any specific requirements you have. When out on a walk I will keep your dog on a lead, if you advise they have good recall and can be walked off lead I will make sure I have built enough trust with your dog and I am confident in their recall before I let them off lead in a safe area.

Leigh-Ann stepped in at short notice to take care of our dog Nina when our other plans fell through. Nina is an anxious girl so we were glad to see how quickly she warmed up with Leigh-Ann. She can also be a bit of a handful but Leigh-Ann handled her with confidence and gave us regular updates on the lovely time they were having together. We were so relieved and grateful to find her and would definitely book her again.
Highly recommend Leigh-Ann - my doggies love her and she gives them lots of love and fuss.
We rebooked Leigh-Ann for a day sit as she was so great last time. Unfortunately Arthur wasn’t very well and had an upset tummy. Leigh-Ann could not have been more brilliant and cooked him chicken and rice to settle his belly, kept an eye on his stools to make sure it was all getting better and even cleaned up a bit of a poonami. I felt so comfortable knowing he was so safe with her and had updates through to day mostly of him fast asleep with her on the sofa as he obviously felt so comfortable with her too. Cannot recommend Leigh-Ann enough!
Leigh-Ann looked after our 4 month old puppy for the weekend and was amazing. She took care of him like he was her own, sent lovely updates of them on walks in the sun as well as giving him lots of attention needed for a crazy puppy! I hope she’d like to look after him again in the future!

Schedule
I am self employed and work remotely so have full control over my schedule and as long as I have enough notice I can be available any day of the week.
