I’ve lived with dogs for well over a decade, including currently a Yorkshire terrier. Friends have relied on me to take care of both cats and dogs for extended periods (up to a month) doing house sitting, and I’ve also helped out at the DC Brandywine Valley SPCA shelter doing dog walks.

In a clients home, I’ll be sure to see that your pet is cared for in the way that most appropriately aligns with your treatment of them. I’m always happy to give pets and love, but if they need a more stern or cautious hand those needs will be met.

Leiah is very good with all types of animals. My cat is very tentative with new people but came right up to her and Leiah was very good with her. She has experience mainly with smaller dogs but has proven capable of managing larger dogs. She has participated in Shelter Skip Day for a large very active puppy and handled it very well. I would trust her with any and all pets no matter the size or breed!
Leiah timely and responsible and there is not a doubt in my mind that she would make a fantastic caregiver to your pet. She has met my dog several times and always treated him very sweetly and with respect (even though he is a bit of a handful). As a former pet caregiver on Rover, I understand the needs of many different pet parents and I am confident that she can be flexible to fulfill these needs.

Schedule
I’m currently working part-time, so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your pets! Message me to make sure our schedules match for that day, but morning and evening can easily be arranged!
