I've been caring for dogs and cats since age 10. I've raised 6 dogs from puppies and 3 cats from kittens. I've also been sitting, walking, doing check-ins, and playdates for friends, family, neighbors, and clients for the past 4 years. I have experience in basic obedience training. I also have experience in senior dog and cat care.

Leia is awesome! She was super accommodating of myself and my schedule from meeting with my pup Percy prior to working with him & key drop-off. She was kind, attentive and patient with Percy on his walk, even carrying him when he started to overheat! It was so reassuring to know Percy was in such good, caring hands while we were away. Thank you so much Leia for looking after Percy like he was your own. I’d highly recommend Leia for any dog-walking/sitting needs.

Schedule
I work from home so I'm able to be attentive and provide frequent play time, walks, and potty breaks for all in-house guests, drop in visits, and walk dates. My lap is readily available for all small dogs and cats during my meetings and desk time. I'm very active and able to provide extended walks for high energy guests. I'm an early riser so extended walks first thing in the day helps to settle active dogs for a relaxed day. I have lots of interactive cat toys to entertain and exercise all in-house cat guests and drop in visits to cats. I go to bed early but will respond as soon as possible when I get up in the morning. Typical 5:00am each day.

I treat all guests like family. Exercise, mental stimulation, love, and just a touch of spoiling should be expected from me. I enjoy sharing photos as often as pet parents would like. I am very tidy and will likely sweep your floor and wash your dishes, if you like! I'm experienced in managing routine health issues and am able to identify and treat routine issues that don't require vet attention.
Pets
A typical day
I start the day by going on 1.5-2mile walk with my pup and am happy to bring along others. I prep enrichment activities and treats after breakfast and give to my pup and guests (if allowed) midday. We have several potty breaks while I take meetings WFH. We typically go to the park or beach if we have time. Otherwise another short walk after dinner to help digest our food. We play fetch in the house throughout the day. And some days, we just read a book on the balcony or at the park.
