Pet care experience
I just love animals
Hello, my name is Leevi. Since I was young, I have always been the one taking care of the family pets. I love all animals, and taking care of them. I have leashed and behaviorally trained multiple dogs for friends and family, as well as served as the designated animal watcher for both cats and dogs for friends and family. I have also raised multiple jumping spiders and lizards. I care about the needs of all animals; seeing them happy makes me happy.

Safety, trust & environment
I will care for your fur baby with the same patience, attention, and affection I have always given my own pets—as a valued member of the family. I understand that every dog has a unique personality, routine, and set of needs, and I am committed to providing dependable, compassionate care that helps them feel safe and comfortable while you are away. I have hands-on experience training and caring for several of my family’s dogs. My experience includes leash training, reinforcing positive behaviors, administering oral medications, maintaining feeding schedules, and providing regular walks and playtime. I am comfortable following specific care instructions and adapting to each dog’s energy level, temperament, and daily routine. I am also attentive to the ways dogs communicate their needs. Whether a dog is feeling stressed, hungry, excited, tired, overheated, or simply in need of reassurance, I recognize the importance of observing their body language and behavior closely. I prioritize safe walks, hydration, a calm environment, and plenty of positive interaction to ensure each dog receives the care and attention they deserve.
Ratings and reviews
Leevi is one of the first people I reach out to if I’m out of town and need someone to care for my cat, and he also used to care for my dog. I can trust that he will not only keep them fed, but I know that he will also take time to play with them and keep them from getting lonely or depressed. I also appreciate that I can trust to get home to a clean space, as if there’s any messes made, he’ll make sure they’re cleaned up before he leaves.

Schedule
I work full-time from 5:00 p.m. to midnight, with Wednesdays and Thursdays off. Despite my evening work schedule, I maintain an active lifestyle and enjoy staying productive throughout the day. As soon as I wake up, I am usually on the move, whether I am exercising, running errands, handling personal responsibilities, or spending time outdoors. I value making the most of my mornings and early afternoons before beginning my shift.

- Before caring for your dog, I like to understand their routine, preferences, and individual needs so I can provide a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience. **Diet and Treats** Are there any dietary restrictions, food allergies, sensitivities, or ingredients your dog should avoid? I would also like to know what food they eat, how much they receive at each meal, and whether meals are served at specific times. Please include any feeding habits that are important, such as slow-feeder bowls, hand-feeding, food guarding, or whether they need to eat separately from other pets. What types of treats are allowed? Are there particular brands, ingredients, or treat sizes you prefer? I also appreciate knowing whether treats are used for training, offered after walks, or limited for health or weight-management reasons. **Medication and Health Needs** Does your dog take any medication, supplements, or preventative treatments? Include the name of each medication, the dosage, the schedule, and the best method for administering it. It is also helpful to know about any ongoing medical conditions, mobility concerns, recent injuries, seizure history, skin sensitivities, or signs of discomfort that I should watch for. **Daily Routine** What does your dog’s typical day look like? I would like to follow their normal schedule as closely as possible, including wake-up time, meal times, potty breaks, walks, playtime, nap periods, and bedtime. Consistency can help dogs feel secure while their family is away. Please share how often they usually need to go outside, whether they signal when they need a potty break, and whether they are comfortable being crated or left alone for short periods. If they have a preferred sleeping area, favorite blanket, or nighttime routine, I will do my best to maintain it. **Play and Exercise Preferences** How does your dog enjoy playing? Some dogs love fetch, tug-of-war, puzzle toys, scent games, swimming, or gentle walks, while others prefer quiet companionship and shorter activity periods. Knowing their favorite toys, preferred exercise level, and play boundaries helps me keep them engaged without overwhelming them. If your dog has limitations with running, jumping, stairs, rough play, or interactions with other dogs, I will make sure their activities remain appropriate and safe. **Triggers, Fears, and Reactivity** Are there situations, sounds, people, animals, or objects that make your dog nervous, fearful, or overstimulated? Common triggers can include thunderstorms, fireworks, doorbells, vacuum cleaners, bicycles, strangers, children, other dogs, cats, grooming, car rides, or being approached while eating or resting. I would also like to know whether your dog is reactive in any way, such as barking, lunging, growling, hiding, pulling on the leash, guarding toys or food, or becoming anxious when separated from familiar people. Understanding these behaviors in advance allows me to use calm, respectful handling and avoid situations that may cause stress. **House Rules and Training Expectations** What are the house rules for your fur baby? This may include whether they are allowed on furniture or beds, which rooms are off-limits, where they are expected to sleep, whether they are permitted to greet visitors, and any commands or training cues you use at home. It is also helpful to know how you handle unwanted behaviors, such as jumping, counter-surfing, pulling on walks, barking at the door, or chewing household items. I will respect your training approach and maintain the routines and boundaries your dog already knows. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, cared for, and as comfortable as possible while you are away.
