Love & care, as if you were there!
Please note - I can only host dogs that are 40lbs and under in my home, and that get along well with smaller dogs, yet I do offer check-in visits for any size/breed dogs, and cats. I am also periodically available for house-sitting in your home (Locally, nation-wide, and internationally) - feel free to inquire even if my House-Sitting section is showing ‘away’. I was born & raised in Israel by serious animal lovers and so naturally, I became one myself. From a very young age our house was full of pets (cats, dogs, birds, bunnies...), and I started pet-sitting when I was 12. It was my first paying gig and I continued doing it on the side ever since. As a young adult I volunteered in 2 shelters in Israel, and more recently, in 'one tail at a time' in Chicago. As a result of being around dogs and cats my whole life, I gained a lot of experience; I’m good with reading their body language, understanding warning signs, training for specific commands (sit, down, stay, drop-it, come, go-get-it, etc). I feel comfortable working with senior dogs, puppies, dogs with anxiety (on a case by case basis), eating issues, or other medical or emotional issues. I have no problem with giving oral medications, yet unfortunately, I’m not comfortable with needles. Although I do have experience with reactive dogs, I am no longer comfortable walking large reactive dogs, as it has proven to be very challenging when their owners are away for more than a day, even after successful meet and greets. I understand that all people, dogs, and cats are different. I will love your fur babies as my own, yet you know them better, so I will follow whatever instructions you provide me with and do my best to keep their schedule as it is at home or when you are with them. I know every animal lover feels the same, yet there’s nothing else that fulfills my heart with so much love as these little furries do, and it shows every time I'm with them. My ultimate goal with every pup guest is to give them the kind of love and care I would want my own pup to receive when I am away.

Waffles is a shy dog but had a great time with Leeraz and her pups. She gave frequent and heartwarming updates on how waffles was doing. We were very happy with her care

Leeraz was an amazing cat sitter—responsive, reliable, and incredibly patient. She sent daily photos and videos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away, and always kept me in the loop. But most impressively, she handled my difficult cat like a pro; despite his hissing, swatting, and even scratching her, she never missed a visit and continued caring for both cats with kindness and professionalism. I’m so grateful she stuck it out—she truly went above and beyond
As always, Finley had a wonderful time at Leeraz’s house. She is very good with him and her other dogs. He didn’t want to leave at the end!

Programa
Me and my husbands schedules are flexible and our work can mostly be done from anywhere, other than when we need our physical files, which are in our home office. This allows me to provide care and company to your fur-babies, around the clock, other than a quick errands run here and there.

For dog boarding in our home, your dog will have company 90% of the time, as I work fully remote from home, other than having to run an errand here and there. I have a good life/work balance and plenty of free time to provide playtime, affection and cuddles to your pup. We have a nice size porch and fully fenced back-yard where we run around and play. If the weather is nice, we are likely to spend most of the day outside, either at home or a park. We allow our pups and guest pups on the couches and beds. I am not shy about asking questions, before and during your pup's stay with us, as I want to make sure they are having the best time ever and the smoothest adjustment while in my care. For house-sitting (in your home), I will follow your specific instructions, and get to be able to leave once in a day for 4-6 hours at a time.

We will run around in the yard, play fetch and tug-of-war, go on walks in Palmer Park when it's nice out, cuddle and anything else your dog loves to do, you just let me know.
