I’m retired and have a car so I’m able to be flexible for different types of schedules. I can get around the north and northwest side of the city and nearby suburbs.

Presently I am only able to care for cats In their homes. I will care for your cat(s) however you want me too, including feeding and litter instructions. I will not be responsible for cats that are let outside. I love all cats very dearly so I will spend as much time as you want me to. I will send photos and/or texts. I am very gentle and knowledgable for/about elderly and physically disabled cats, knowing that toilet, feeding, and attention issues may be different from regular healthy, younger cats. I will respect the attention and care of skiddish or frightened kitties. Basically, I will attend to your cat(s) as if they are my own.

I like to know if the cat is shy or social. My approach all depends on whether the cat trusts me or not. I also want to be aware of any medical issues or concerns, feeding routines and schedules. If there are litter box issues please have cleaning supplies available.
A typical day
I like to play with cats and gain their trust. I will gladly give affection to any cat if they trust me and feel comfortable with me, otherwise I do not force attention on a cat. If they are weary or scared of me I talk to them gently each visit, even if they hide or stay out of reach. I will use treats if the owner wants me to.

I have had my own cats since I was a child. I have been a cat sitter for many years. I am very knowledgeable with cat health and cat behaviors. I have worked in shelters in the Midwest and started working for Rover in southern Florida. I am back in the Chicago area now.

Lee is obviously a loving cat person! She was even able to connect with my most aggressive cat and build trust and rapport. She’s very communicative and my cats were in great spirits when I got home!!!
Lee was reliable, kind, and patient. My cats were very shy but she took her ti me and persisted. They adjusted quickly to our return home, which means they felt safe and well cared for while we were away. I will definitely book again.
