As a lifelong animal lover, I grew up in a family surrounded by cats and dogs. My passion for pets led me to adopt my first cats shortly after college and become actively involved in rescue and fostering. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience with a wide variety of breeds, successfully placing many pets in their forever homes—including taming and socializing several litters of feral kittens. Friends and family often rely on me to care for their pets while they’re away, knowing I provide attentive, reliable, and loving care. I prioritize both physical needs (feeding, bathroom breaks) and enrichment through play, exercise, and companionship. I’ve even traveled back to the Portland area, where I used to live, to stay for a week at a time caring for pets of all ages. My fascination with animal body language and behavior helps me ensure every pet feels comfortable, safe, and happy in my care. At home, I live with an elderly Pomeranian mix, a Poodle, and two young tabby cats. I was also the proud owner of an Old English Sheepdog for 10 years. I have been pet sitting a Flat Coat Retriever puppy several times during his first year, which gave me the chance to refresh my dog training skills. Coming from a family of pet professionals—one sister is a dog groomer and another a veterinary surgeon—I bring not only personal passion but also a strong foundation.
