Providing a canine paradise!
I've had pets my whole life, mostly cats, but petsit for a lot of dogs over the years. Four years ago, I got my own dog and it has been a wonderful experience raising and training him. What I love about dogs is being able to take them on stimulating adventures: hiking, canoeing, etc. I enjoy teaching new tricks, even silly useless ones. A dog's joy is infectious! Growing up with a diabetic cat, I am no stranger to the medical needs of animals. I have no qualms about administering injections or pills-whatever the pet needs. I also have experience in the cleanup and care of a senior dog, having inherited an elder Yorkie from a great-aunt.

Lee & Fan are absolutely amazing! They went about above and beyond to make Candy feel like part of the family and she is so much more trusting of other people after this very positive experience she's had! Not only did they take care of her for 10 days, they made such on a positive impact on all our lives! I'm so glad they were so patient and persistent until they got to experience what we see in our sweet pup that not many others get to see!
Lee & Fan have been fantastic with our fearful pup. Their patience with Candy as she becomes comfortable with humans has been incredible. Their pup Lancer is also a perfect companion for Candy as well, providing lots of emotional support and assurance that his humans are amazing! We look forward to making more progress with Lee & Fan.
Lee was great with our boy Finley. They sent regular photos and updates of his morning and activities. Finley enjoyed being there and was well taken care of.
Lee took wonderful care of my dog, Aldo, while I was on vacation, and it quickly became Aldo’s vacation too! She gave him so much love and attention, took him on beautiful trail walks, and spent plenty of time playing fetch and cuddling. Lee also sent us a lot of photos and updates, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We feel so lucky to have Lee to look after Aldo when we can’t be home.
Lee did an incredible job taking care of my cat Bug. He immediately felt comfortable and at home with her. She sent a lot of photos (always very comforting as a pet parent to see your little guy having a good time) and she was very attentive to his needs: playing with him, grooming, as well as being attentive to his specific health condition (he needed some special food and to make sure he was going to the bathroom). I was very calm knowing he was in such good hands and I highly recommend Lee if you are looking for a reliable pet sitter.
Lee took amazing care of our dog, Finn, for 3 weeks. She asked lots of great questions ahead of time in order to get to know Finn and his regular routine. She followed his regular schedule and our guidelines, while also responding to his requests, such as extra snuggles or a special pillow. Her home was safe and dog proof. She took extra care knowing that Finn loves to eat paper when given the chance. She has a big, fenced backyard for running and playing. Finn had so much fun, even on days when the weather was extra snowy. Finn and her dog became great walking buddies. Daily updates and cute pictures assured us that Finn was truly loved and well cared for. I felt completely at ease and would absolutely use Lee again. I’m sure Finn would love the visit!

Schedule
I am at home full-time now and can adjust my schedule to a dog's needs. I am always around to provide access to the backyard, or to go for a walk as requested. For appointments or errands, I am gone for a maximum of four hours.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a lovely home with a large, fully-fenced backyard. There's lots of wildlife to chase (hopefully not to catch!) such as birds, squirrels, rabbits, and the occasional fox. My home is, of course, very dog-friendly: there is nothing tempting at nose-height (and I will adjust as needed), no food left out for counter surfers, all shoes and clothes behind closet doors, etc. Dogs are allowed on couches and beds here, but there are also lots of dog beds scattered about.
Pets
A typical day
Mental stimulation is key! Every day, we typically do two big dog walks (usually 15-20 minutes each, sometimes longer, and varies per daily needs). I allow for plenty of sniffing and exploring time. There is very close access to the Grand River and plenty of forested paths nearby to keep things varied and interesting. After dinner, we usually spend some time doing tricks and training. During the weekdays, we have playtime in the yard at lunch. On the weekends, we get out for a bigger adventure over an hour long in addition to the other two walks. At all other times, access to the backyard is available upon request (unless we're out for errands). When weather is not so nice, we play fetch indoors in addition to the two regular walks (not as fun as backyard fetching).
