Doggy sitter with big heart
Hi, I’m Leanne! 🐾 I’m a huge dog lover and a new Rover sitter. I previously had a lovely crossbreed dog with a former partner, but after we separated I no longer had access to him so I’ve definitely been left with a bit of a dog-shaped hole in my life! 🥹 I have dog sat previously for friends and family. I live alone and work from home, so I’d absolutely love the company of a furry friend during the day or overnight. Your dog would get plenty of attention, cuddles, playtime and company rather than being left on their own for hours. I’m close to West Glebe Park, with a smaller park just around the corner too, so there are plenty of opportunities for walks and fresh air. Most importantly, I’d treat your dog like they were my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable and very well looked after. ❤️ I’m looking forward to meeting lots of lovely dogs (and their humans!) through Rover! 🐶

Leanne is very physically active, both gym work and long walks. She loves our dog and has walked him across moor land and brought the dog back energy depleted so if you have a high energy dog, she’s great. She has had training from a dog trainer for her rescue dog & has a good balance at setting boundaries and giving rewards.
I couldn’t recommend Leanne more! She’s always been amazing with our greyhound Jimmy; kind, caring and enthusiastic about taking him out for walks. We trust her completely to look after him and know he’s always in very safe hands!

Schedule
A typical day with me 🐾 I work from home, so I’m around for most of the day and your dog won’t be left alone for long periods. My working day is fairly flexible, which means there’s plenty of time for attention, cuddles and play breaks between work. I’d start the day with a morning walk, followed by breakfast and some relaxed time at home while I work. Throughout the day there’ll be regular toilet breaks, attention and little play sessions, with another walk later in the day. My evenings are generally relaxed, so there’s plenty more time for cuddles and company. I’m happy to adapt the routine to suit your dog whether they’re full of energy and need lots of exercise or prefer a slower pace with plenty of sofa time! The aim is for them to feel like they’re having a little holiday of their own while you’re away. 🐶❤️

Safety, trust & environment 🐾 Your pet’s safety and wellbeing would always be my top priority. I want them to feel comfortable, relaxed and at home while they’re staying with me. As I work from home, I’ll be around throughout the day to keep an eye on them and make sure they’re happy and settled. I’ll follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, medication if required, and any specific instructions you leave for me. I’ll make sure doors, gates and windows are secure, and I’ll always supervise them appropriately when out on walks. I’ll also take the time to get to know their personality, habits and boundaries so I can care for them in a way that suits them. I understand how daunting it can be leaving your pet with someone new, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages while they’re in my care, so you know they’re happy, safe and being thoroughly spoiled. ❤️🐶
