I have a lot of free time! I am currently not working (in trauma recovery). Monday - Friday I have 1 hour physiotherapy sessions etc. Sundays - sons (13yo) football match for approx. 1.5 hours (depending on location, dogs can come too.) Otherwise my sister will join me on a dog walk. :) Happy to follow the routine of your pup or just go with the flow.

I have a ground floor maisonette, so all one level. 1 step into front of the home and 2 up to the grass area of garden. Garden secure. We have a XL dog crate if needed (although happy for you to provide your own). Blankets on the sofa for lots of sofa snuggles. We have long lines for those who need to stay on lead. We wouldn’t allow any dogs into my son’s (13yo) bedroom but we can gate that off. Please note my child and your pets will never be left unsupervised and all care provided to your pups will be given by myself. They will receive much love and plenty of belly rubs from us both.

Information Leanne H. would like to know about your pet
Please provide info about your dog/s before dates of care. Their Routine, what they eat, how much walking they can/not be doing. Are they ball or food driven? Muzzle trained? Level of Socialisation? Neutered or in tact? How are they around children? Cats? Other dogs? Can/not be let off lead. Crate trained? How long they can/not be left alone. Any medical needs?
A typical day
Tidy back garden - all secure. Behind my home are corn fields and public footpaths; leading down to the farm, a loop home or the bridge to more fields and a little woodland. All fields are secure. Also a short walk to the village common, an open field and wooded area. A short walk to the village with dog friendly cafes. Or a walk along the canal. Playing ball, practising recall, tidying up the basics are all things we would do with our boy on a daily basis. Lots of find it games in the garden or field. There’ll also be plenty of down time. Whether it be in their bed/crate or a comfy spot on the sofa to catch a quick nap and recharge that brain for the next adventure.

Pet care experience
At 19 my partner and I decided to get a puppy (to add, I was 5 months pregnant at the time.) A French BullMastiff x Belgium Malinious (if you know you know 😉). A gorgeous puppy! We trained him every weekday possible and every weekend with the help of a local dog trainer/k9 handler. We taught him the basics: sit, down, stay, come & heal etc. His recall was amazing. We also trained things like, walk on (ahead), behind, speak and whisper. He very quickly became our child’s best friend whilst still knowing his boundaries. In 2023 I was in a major car accident that left me with multiple broken bones with many other complications. I am still in a recovery program, hydrotherapy, muscle strength and psychology. In this time I have decided to become a dog trainer. I have some new qualifications and certificates for this already; pet first aid, loose lead walking, enrichment and dog law etc. I am still enrolled into the dog trainer program. I had also taken a huge interest in dog nutrition. We fed our dog a balanced raw diet. All natural treats and lots of lick mats. Sadly in October 2025 our fur boy became unwell, with a lot of scans and test he was taking home on palliative care. After a few days at home, quiet and comfortable, we had to accept the hardest decision we’ve had to make. We had to say goodbye to our gorgeous boy. He will be forever 13. I was once working part-time, building my driving business and enjoying long field walks on a crisp morning. I became a home stayer whilst recovering and training spending most of the day with him. We’d play tug with the rope in the garden, search and find in the fields and many small training sessions in the lounge (just to keep his instruction sharp, to build engagement and his brain occupied). But now my time at home is quiet and a little empty. We need time for our hearts to heal before any thoughts about another dog, but we will do so in the future. I’d love to share our home, my time and knowledge with your precious fur friends.
Reviews

Leanne played with Monty with a hosepipe- great idea in the hot weather. He enjoyed his walks and Leanne was kind with the treats

Nala and Mylo really enjoyed their time with Leanne! With Mylo being a puppy still I was very worried how he’d take to having a sitter but Leanne made both my dogs feel at home Nala had a splash pool to play in and even Mylo had his first splash they both seem very tired and super happy! Couldn’t be happier with their care and should we be back again will definitely rebook

Leanne is absolutely wonderful. DEX was so relaxed and happy staying with her and her lovely family. Thanks Leanne x
Leanne is a huge dog person. She has loved and cared for her own dog for 13 years. Spending her time walking with him, training him or just cuddling with him. Leanne has so much love to share.
