I am very active and enjoy taking dogs on long walks. I always adhere to the pup's acitivity level and age. I have also cared for a neglected pitbull terrier in my old neighborhood. The dog was chained all the time and not cared for. I asked the owners if I could walk him daily. I have removed ticks and groomed him in an effort to provide some much needed attention and TLC. I have sought out medical care for the dog and helped to build a better shelter. I have also worked to educate the family on what it means to be a dog owner and treat the pup like a family member. Dogs just yearn to protect and be close to thier pack (owners). I still walk him to this day even though I know longer live in the neighborhood. The dog can be aggressive with other people and animals but is always affectionate towards me. I had to train the dog how to walk on a leash as it had not been walked in years. At first, the dog was a bit wild and did not know what to do. Now, he can heel and listens to commands. He even sits for some treats! I know how to use caution and practice safety measures when walking the dog so that others and the aggressive dog are kept safe and unharmed. I have a bleeding heart for animals. I am great with animals of all ages, personalities, and fitness levels!
