I’ve always been an animal lover and have grown up surrounded by pets. I had cats growing up, including one very special cat who lived to the amazing age of 24 back at my family home, so I like to think we must have done something right! More recently, I’ve had the pleasure of house-sitting and caring for friends’ pets while they’ve been away, looking after both cats and dogs for periods of up to two weeks. I really enjoy getting to know each animal’s personality and making sure they feel happy, safe and comfortable in their own routine and environment. My partner, Ollie, also grew up with a chocolate Labrador called Darcy, so dogs have always been a big part of his life too. He loves getting outdoors and going for long walks and runs, so if your dog is energetic and enjoys a good adventure, we’d be very happy to keep up! We also have Ollie’s 5-year-old daughter with us every other weekend, and she absolutely loves animals, especially giving them cuddles and the occasional treat! Of course, we’re always mindful of each pet’s individual temperament and boundaries and would never expect a dog to interact with her if they’re not comfortable. We’re a caring, friendly household and would treat your pets as part of the family while they’re with us. We understand that every pet is different, and we’re happy to follow their usual routines, whether they love long walks and playtime or prefer plenty of relaxed cuddles and quiet company.
