Farm girl. . . need I say more? 🙃
I LOVE animals! I grew up on a farm in Arizona surrounded by dogs, chickens, cows, hamsters, and even a few ferrets and a snake! I adopted my own fur baby (an almost three year old lab, Pyrenees, Newfoundland mix🥰) a few years ago, and we are excited to be helping y’all out with your pets! I’m currently not working besides taking care of pets on Rover, so my availability is pretty open and flexible. In very few instances, I may need to request a slight changing in time frame to accommodate for my two kiddos under two (fun times! 😂 ). All things considering, life as a stay at home mom allows me to be most available for doggy day care and boardings, but if you’re fine with my sister tagging along to help with my away-from-home sittings, I can sit your house for you as well (overnights most of the time for me are a no-go, but I’m a night owl/early bird so I can come and leave early/late, and my sister is able to spend overnights as well if needed throughout most of the week. But you never know so please feel free to talk to me and we can see if we can work something out 😊). If you’re considering boarding/doggy day care, I just moved into my first house with a backyard and a dog park within walking distance! I would be able to provide your pups with ample exercise, and both my kiddos and my pup LOVE to play and get along well with other pets. We are also conveniently located only ten minutes from the airport, so you can drop them off on your way to vacation and pick them up without going too far out of your way on your way home! I have experience with most breeds, ages, and needs of dogs, and while I’m not trained in any type of CPR/first aid (nor have I ever needed to use it), I have the head knowledge. While that may be a certification goal in the future, for now I’m focusing on completing classes to be able to be credentialed as a dog trainer (with dog grooming, certification to be pursued shortly after! Look out for huge discounts as a return Rover customer 😉) Don’t hesitate to ask any questions! Leah did a great job caring for Mars 9 days while we were on vacation. She was very accommodating and understanding. Mars was happy and I would definitely use her again.
She was very communicative! I will definitely use her again.
We didn’t get updates or pictures while we were gone and when we picked up our dog she was wet. We don’t know if she was left out in the rain.
Leah is such a wonderful person because she was willing to take care of our baby Sky, with more things we asked for her to do such as unexpected antibiotics to be given while we were out. She is very accommodating, and really helps when she does it full time. Highly recommended!
Our dog Pablo seemed to love his stay. He got lots of play time with other dogs. Leah, Mara, and Sydnie are very responsive and great to work with.
Leah was absolutely fantastic! My dog wasn't just looked after - he was loved. You can feel her heart for animals the moment she walks in, and it shows in every detail. Thank you Leah for treating Nugget like family.

Schedule
As I said, this is my only source of income, so I can cater to the needs of your pet right along with my own with practically nothing to stand in the way! I treat Rover as a job (with my kiddos being my priority, of course). Because of that, whatever your daily routines and habits are with your pets, I try my hardest to implement, so there are as few life changes as possible for your pets to help them settle into their new environment.

I treat your pet like my own (yes, they even sleep in my bed sometimes 😂), and I honestly take even more care over yours to ensure the best experience all around. This means leashing them EVERY TIME we go outside and BEFORE any doors are opened, giving them space if needed and around other dogs, etc. I know how to read animal body language, so that makes it easier to assess a situation before it gets stressful. If I’m sitting at your house, my sister and I always make sure to leave your home looking better than when we arrived to ensure you feel as comfortable as possible returning home from your trip. We understand how important your space is!

A typical day
I love walking dogs as it provides the opportunity for both of us to explore new places! My youngest loves to play with pets, so between my kids, myself and my own pup we all will play with your dog until everyone is tired, or just snuggle your pup if that’s all they need! I have plenty of toys and enriching activities on hand and that I purchase regularly to keep everyone occupied, and you’re more than welcome to bring your own as well. Our house is never boring! 😂
