I recently moved to Huddersfield from Canada to complete my Masters here! I am currently at home full time the weekdays and weekends working on my dissertation for the summer. I have a very well behaved dog at home as well, he loves other dogs . He is a corgi toy Aussie cross. I am 28 years old and have been taking care of pets for my entire life. I grew up with a border collie and a duck toller, as well as two cats, a bunny, a guinea pig and hamsters. I have cared for cats, dogs, bunnies, and even geckos! I previously worked at a doggy daycare so I have experience with all sizes of dogs and administering medications. I love all animals and would be willing to pet sit animals of any kind, not only cats and dogs! Just message me and we will figure it out. I understand how important it is to receive updates and photos of your pet while you’re away as I am the same way with my pets! I will send photos and updates daily if that’s what you want ☺️ I am a strong believer of positive reinforcement and at no point would I yell or act aggressively towards any animals of any kind.

Leah is a lovely person who has looked after my very active 1 year old like he was her own. I would have no hesitation recommending Leah and I have already booked my pups next stay!
Leah was great with our two boys one of which is older and the other reactive. They both were happy and healthy when we arrived home.
Wesley had a fantastic time with Leah and Echo, we went on holiday for 10 nights. Had regular updates, pictures and videos. As an 8 month old, bouncy Golden Retriever, he had the best of times. We have used Leah on a number of occasions, we are always more than happy for Wesley to be looked after by Leah.
Wesley had a fab time staying over with Leah and Echo. Fab updates and great communication.
We booked Leah after reading her good reviews and being nearby. We had a good meet and greet after booking and had frequent photos to stay updated. We have booked our dogs in again for another stay in a few weeks and highly recommend her to friends and others. Thankyou.
Thank you so much Leah for looking after our Willow for 10 nights at our home! Leah is such a lovely, kind person who genuinely has a love for animals. She’s sent us lots of updates while we were on holiday and willow was very happy with her and her sweet dog Echo ❤️ I would always recommend her to anybody and will definitely be keeping in touch for doggy play dates ☺️

Schedule
I am able to walk your dog, take them on hikes, or just drop in to let them pee. For your cat I can clean their litter, feed them, fill their water, cuddle with them, and provide any enrichment activities you desire. I am available for house sitting anytime and will stay over if that’s what you prefer. I can also take out garbages on garbage day, water plants, etc for house sittings.

Safety, trust & environment
If your dog likes playing as much as mine does I would bring my own dog along on a walk so they can play. If your dog is reactive that’s fine too, we can find a trail with no people or dogs and do that! In your home pet sitting or drop in I am able to crate your dog, bath them, feed them, take them out for potty breaks, play with them etc. Just let me know what their current schedule is, what they’re used to, and the things they love and we will do that! I have a decent sized house for boarding with plenty of separate rooms. I have one dog at home who love to play and tire other dogs out! We have TONS of dog toys, cat toys, pet beds, kennels, and play pens for your pets to use during their stay if desired 😊
Pets
A typical day
I love to go on long hikes, walks, bike rides, etc with dog I’m watching. Furthermore, I love to play fetch or tug with dogs in my yard or the park. I also love to take dogs swimming during the summer! When we’re at home I like to make different kong recipes, play with toys, and cuddle on the couch or in the bed :) With any cats I’m watching I enjoy cuddling on couch or in bed (if they enjoy it..), playing with rod toys, and brushing them!
