Please note: I generally don’t accept same-day requests for walks or drop ins unless I have met your animal before. I would be happy to set up a meet and greet, though! Hi there, I was always more of a cat person until I lived with a senior newfoundland dog who won me over! I have lived with senior and high energy pets in the family home, and have house/pet sit for senior and anxious dogs in the past. I am an outdoors person who loves to be on the go so dog walking is a great fit for me. I am a grad student, and have a very flexible availability for pet sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits. I love walking the trails and can take your high energy pup for a long walk on the Bruce Trail. If your dog is not up for hikes we can hit the pavement and walk around the neighbourhood as well as play in the park. I am a high energy person who can keep up with your pup or wait patiently while they sniff all the interesting smells there are for a pup to get nosy about! I look forward to meeting you and your pet.

Leah completed everything to perfection and followed all requests to the dot. She was always on time and never in rush to leave. We were able to enjoy our time all thanks to Leah's fantastic care of the cats.

I am also attentive to signals from dogs regarding reactivity, anxiety, etc. I also have experience with correcting behaviour and positive reinforcement training (please note I am not a trainer, but have experience training my own anxious rescue pup).

A typical day
I like to play tug o' war or fetch with the pups, go to trails around town, take the pup for a run in a pet-safe space or just slowly walk around the neighbourhood while your dog takes in all the smells.

Availability
I have a very flexible schedule so can generally fit in a walk or drop-in visit any day of the week and welcome a chance to get out for a walk and away from the computer. I have a dog of my own and we work on training and maintaining new learned behaviours with positive reinforcement and get out on the trails around Hamilton a few times a week.
