Throughout the day when I take care of pets (whether at my home or clients home), I send lots of photos to the owners to give them updates throughout the day, sometimes a little too much! I do work from home, therefore I am able to provide more one-on-one care. I will make it my priority to make sure they are safe, fed, have lots of cuddles, went to the bathroom, etc. On top of that, when I stay over at a client's home, it is important for myself to keep it cleaner than when I first walked into the home. I also respect house rules and other necessities that were discussed before giving care.

A typical day
In terms of activity, one thing that is essentially important, is getting exercise daily. This includes going out for a walk, a run, or another form of exercise. For dogs, I ask each owner what they incorporate in their daily routine. This includes are they allowed to go to the park, can they engage with other dogs, go swimming, etc. For activities that are inside, there are many things I like to do. For cats, I enjoy giving them many cuddles, brushing them, or just keeping them company. For dogs this is very similar. I like to play tug-a-war, hide and go seek (a new activity of mine), belly rubs, or play catch with their toys to name a few. Of course there are other activities to do inside, these are some of the activities that I have enjoyed while caring for client's pets.

Pet care experience
I have been taking care of cats and dogs for quite some time. I have done multiple overnight stays for family friends, neighbors, colleagues, etc. I also am a regular with drop by visits and even taking dogs out for a walk while their owners are at work. I love to take dogs for long walks or even on runs if they have the energy! If some dogs need longer walks (1+ hours), I will be happy to take them longer.

Leah was an excellent sitter for McCoy. She made sure he got lots of activity, took great care of him while I was away, and sent lots of updates. She was also a very thoughtful and conscientious house guest. I hope to book her again.

Leah was punctual, communicative, and detail oriented. Our dog was happy when we returned.
Leah was an excellent house sitter for our two pups! We were away for almost a week and she was easy to contact and quick to respond. She followed any instructions we left, sent daily photos/updates, and even cleaned the sheets and towels before we came back (did not ask her to do this — so nice!). We will definitely book again with Leah if needed! ?❤️
