I currently work full-time Monday to Friday, but I have a flexible schedule and can plan my own workload, allowing me to accommodate pet care where needed. I can be a little busier during the spring and summer months - I sometimes work away up to 12 days at a time, however I am quieter in the winter. I will always do my best to try and fit you in. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch - I’d love to help 🙂

Dog Boarding; Your dog will be welcomed into a loving, family style home where they’ll feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. There are 2 cats that live here and 2 dogs of my own, however they will be kept separate from your pet during their stay to ensure everyone feels relaxed and secure. There are doors on every room and extra tall baby gates on the key rooms where your dogs and my ow pets will be staying - therefore a more secure set-up to prevent escapes and/ or any animals coming in to contact with each other. There are no young children in the home, and I have a secure outdoor garden with two 6-foot fences and two lockable gates. There is also a local roam-free park just 5 minutes away, where your dog(s) can enjoy off-lead exercise, as well as relaxed on-lead walks. A meet and greet will always be arranged beforehand, and I’m happy to offer collection and drop-off for your convenience, so your dog can enjoy their own little holiday too. Your dog will never be left alone (unless previously agreed) and will be part of the daily home routine, receiving plenty of attention, affection, and care. I tailor each stay to your dog’s individual personality and needs, whether that means lots of playtime, cuddles, or enjoyable walks. I provide exclusive 1-to-1 care, meaning your pet will be the only animal(s) from an outside household in my care at any one time. This ensures consistent supervision, attention, and comfort during their stay. My goal is to make your dog feel completely at home while giving you full peace of mind that they’re in a safe and caring environment. House Sitting; When house sitting, I care for your dog(s) or cat(s) in the comfort of their own home, helping them feel relaxed and secure in their familiar surroundings. They will receive the same level of care and attention as they would when boarding with me. My overnight house sitting rate covers up to 12 hours of care. Any additional time outside of this is classed as extended daytime care and will be charged accordingly. I am happy to follow your pet’s usual routine and any specific requirements to ensure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for. This includes feeding, providing fresh water, cleaning bowls, walks and/or garden time, administering medication if required, plenty of play and affection. For safety, dogs are kept on a lead during walks unless in a secure, designated roam-free area. Off-lead walking may be considered once trust and a relationship have been built, or if your dog has reliable recall. I will keep you regularly updated with messages, photos, and videos, so you can feel reassured while your pet is in my care. I’m also happy to arrange a meet and greet beforehand to ensure both you and your pet feel completely comfortable. The rate shown on my profile for house sitting is for the overnight service. If you wish for your pets to be cared for in your own home (daycare / night care but in your own home) - this can be booked under ‘house sitting’. I offer a separate rate for this service which can be adjusted after you send the request through. Overnight house sitting includes standard care with the ability to leave for short periods. Pets needing full-time supervision are very welcome - this is priced slightly differently. For bookings outside my local area or requiring travel over a certain amount of time, a small travel fee may apply to cover time and transport. Pet collection/drop-off can also be arranged - please message to discuss. Dog walking; I’m always happy to help where I can! My availability can vary during the spring and summer months due to occasional work commitments away from home. If you get in touch, I’m happy to share my upcoming availability and see how I can fit around your needs. During autumn and winter, I’m generally much more consistent and available for regular bookings. In spring and summer, I’m best suited for occasional, short-term, or emergency dog walking requests. Where key handovers are needed (Drop-in Visits etc), keys provided during the meet & greet, via lockbox, or posted through the letterbox after the service has been completed is free of charge. If separate trips are required for key collection or return, a small fee may apply to cover additional travel time. Any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch 🐾

Información que a Leah H. le gustaría saber sobre tu mascota
I will always arrange a call or a visit before going ahead with bookings to ensure I have all relevant information and that I am the right match for your pet. If you could let me know the following about your pet, that would be great! This can either be through messages or via phone call. 1. Temperament & behaviour: Is your pet friendly, shy, anxious, or reactive? Any bite/scratch history? Any triggers (e.g. other dogs, strangers, noises, cars, bikes) Any part of their body they don’t like touched? (e.g., ears, paws, tail, undercarriage) 2. Walking & handling 🐶: On-lead only or off-lead? How is their recall? Do they pull, or use specific equipment (harness, head collar, whistle etc.)? Any reactivity on walks? 3. Routine & feeding: Feeding times, portion sizes, and any dietary restrictions or allergies. Are treats allowed? 4. Medical needs: Any health conditions, injuries, or medications (including how to administer them). How do they usually react when giving the medications? Vet details and emergency contact info. Are they wormed / vaccinated? Are they neutered? 5. Home & access info: Where your pet will be when I arrive, key/lockbox details, and any escape risks (e.g. sneaking out when opening the door, garden gaps). 6. Equipment: Where leads, harnesses, food, litter supplies, etc. are kept. Please ensure all equipment fits securely. 7. Behaviour at home: Are they crate trained? Allowed on furniture? Any rooms they are not allowed in? Any separation anxiety or destructive behaviours? Can they be left with treats and toys? Are they territorial at home? Are they toilet trained? Are they house trained? 8. Cats 🐈: Litter box routine, hiding spots, and how comfortable they are with handling. 9. Emergency plan: Your preferred vet, backup contact, and instructions in case of an emergency. 10. Anything else important: Quirks, fears, favourite toys, or anything that helps keep your pet happy and safe? Anything specific are not allowed (e.g., soft toys)? The more detail you can provide, the better I can tailor care to your pet’s needs 😊

I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet and I treat every animal as if they were my own. Making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for at all times. I’ve always loved animals, which led me to study and work in animal welfare. I hold a degree in Animal Science and an HND in Animal Care, giving me a strong understanding of animal health, behaviour, and wellbeing. I also have over a year of hands-on experience in an animal welfare/rescue role, where I cared for animals in a wide range of situations. This helped me build confidence in handling, behaviour assessment, and providing the right care for different needs. Alongside this, I’ve volunteered in veterinary practices, gaining experience with different breeds, temperaments, and medical needs. I’ve grown up around animals my whole life and currently have two dogs of my own, a Labrador called Oakley and a miniature dachshund called Lilly. Oakley came from a puppy farm, so I’ve gained a lot of real-life experience working with a more sensitive, high-energy dog. Over the past couple of years, I’ve worked with behaviourists, which has helped me better understand dog behaviour, body language, and how to keep dogs calm, settled, and comfortable. I’m also experienced in administering medication. Growing up, my family dog had diabetes and Cushing’s disease, and I was responsible for daily medication, including insulin injections. I have experience with a wide range of animals including small furries, reptiles and amphibians, birds of prey, poultry, livestock, UK wildlife and some exotics. I’m passionate about enrichment and believe it’s key to a dog’s wellbeing. I aim to provide a good balance of exercise, mental stimulation, and interaction whether that’s walks, playtime, training, or puzzle-based activities. I took my dog to some scent work classes to get his brain going and to use his natural instincts for mental stimulation. Due to the experience I have, I’m confident caring for pets with a wide range of needs. Whether your pet is energetic, more sensitive, requires medication, or just loves a cuddle, I’ll always tailor my care to suit them. I know how important it is to stay connected with your pet while you’re away, so I provide regular updates with photos and messages for peace of mind - and to show your pet enjoying their holiday just as much as you are. I’m always happy to arrange a meet and greet beforehand so we can get to know each other, go over your pet’s routine, and make sure everyone feels comfortable. I am first aid trained through my previous studies at level 8, however I keep this up to date by attending CPD training days to keep my skill set up to date as a refresher. Your pet will be in the best of care at all times😊

Leah is lovely and sent us updates and photos every day. Our boys got regular food, playtime and cuddles while we were away, so we came home to a pair of well-fed, happy cats! Would very much recommend Leah to other cat owners.

Leah is a great cat sitter! She responded for my messages very quickly, respected my home, and left everything nice and clean. She's very professional and responsible. My cat was happy and well feeded when I was back.

Leah is a fantastic dog sitter! Dougie our Westie, loved her and trusted her instantly! We were anxious about leaving our dog with someone who wasn’t family but Leah put all our worries to ease. Leah has great experience working with animals, you can tell she has a passion for taking care of them. She showed up on time and treated our home with the upmost respect. Leah done a meet and greet a few days beforehand and took the time to learn about Dougie. We look forward to using Leah’s services again. Would recommend. Thanks Leah, for treating Dougie like your own. Hopefully we see you soon.
I’ve used Leah a couple times now and she is great with my cats. She always sorts them out for me when I’m away. Recommend her for anyone else looking for good pet care
