I currently hold a substitute position with the Kitsap Regional Library, which gives me an extremely flexible schedule and allows me to prioritize pet care needs. I don’t have dependents, have a reliable vehicle, and can easily accommodate walks, drop-ins, or extended care. Any personal travel is planned well in advance, so availability is always communicated clearly.

A typical day is built around what your dog enjoys most. My favorite thing to do is head out to a nearby nature trail when time, energy, and your dog’s needs allow. Otherwise, we’ll enjoy relaxed neighborhood walks with plenty of time to sniff all the things. For dogs who enjoy car rides, we might take a short adventure for a pup cup (with parent approval, of course). At home, it’s all about the vibe — whether that’s playtime, enrichment, or cozy snuggles and companionship. I follow your dog’s lead and make sure they feel happy, safe, and cared for.

I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life and have provided loving, committed homes to dogs of all temperaments as an adult — from an animal-aggressive Akita to the sweetest Golden Lab. I understand that every dog is different and deserves care that meets their unique needs. I’ve volunteered as a dog walker with the Kitsap Humane Society and have taken our most recent rescue through both beginner and advanced training classes. I’m comfortable reinforcing training, reading canine body language, and providing calm, consistent care. Friends regularly trust me with their pets while they’re away, and as a dog owner who has also used Rover myself, I truly understand how important communication, reliability, and trust are when someone is caring for your fur baby. When we’re not out enjoying nature together, I’m usually at home or the library with a good book — or planning our next travel adventure.
