Availability
Pet care fits naturally into my schedule because, as a college student, I have a flexible routine and plenty of free time between classes. Unlike a strict 9–5 schedule, my availability allows me to plan walks, feeding times, medications, and check-ins around each pet’s needs rather than rushing them. I’m often studying at home, which means I can provide consistent supervision, companionship, and quick responses if a pet needs extra attention—especially seniors or pets with medical needs. In many ways, pet care becomes the steady rhythm of my day, grounding my schedule like a heartbeat between classes and coursework, while allowing me to give animals the time, patience, and reliability they deserve.

Safety, trust & environment
I care for pets in my client’s home by maintaining their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure in a familiar environment. I follow feeding schedules carefully, provide fresh water, exercise, and plenty of attention, and make sure all medications are given correctly and on time. I’m experienced with senior pets, food-aggressive behaviors, and injury or recovery management, so I adjust care as needed for each animal. I also keep the home clean and respected, monitor the pet’s health and behavior closely, and provide regular updates so owners feel confident their pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while they’re away.

Just let me know if your dogs have a specific needs. I’m very flexible with different care needs and handling more than one dog at a time.
A typical day
I make sure pets stay happy, active, and mentally stimulated by tailoring fun activities to each pet’s age, energy level, and personality. This can include walks, playtime with their favorite toys, games like fetch or tug, and gentle exercise for senior pets. I also enjoy providing enrichment activities such as puzzle toys, basic training refreshers, and extra one-on-one attention. For pets that prefer a calmer routine, I offer relaxed companionship, brushing, and quiet time to help them feel comfortable and secure. My goal is to keep pets engaged, stress-free, and having fun while still respecting their individual needs.

Reviews

Leah has done a great job for us. This is the second time Leah has sat for us. She is a pleasure to work with and takes good care of our dogs. She leaves our house very clean and the dogs are happy with her!

Leah took great care of my animals. My cats usually hide when somebody new is at my house and they came out so I knew they liked her.Very respectful glad I found her.

Leah was super great!! I give a full star rating. She was wonderful with the dogs and was very easy to work with. She was flexible when we got stuck out of town with late spring snowstorm. She cleaned around the house before she left.

Leah was awesome! 2 of my dogs are not very sociable so that made me a little nervous plus was the 1st time I’ve left them but it took Leah no time at all to make them feel at ease. She definitely will be my to go person. Highly recommend!
