I'm an animal lover with 20+ years of experience in pet care. I've worked as a professional dog handler, off leash pack leader, and trainer’s assistant. When care-taking, I'm responsible, consistent, and compassionate. Communication is key; I love to provide photos, video, and medical/behavioral updates. In addition to dogs, I have extensive experience working with cats, rabbits, birds, reptiles and small farm animals. Happily serving the Montpelier area at this time!

Our experience with Leah was exceptional. Our Australian Blue Healer adopted to her quickly and Leah knew just what to do to make her stay comfortable and welcome. She has the experience to know how to take care of an attention demanding pet and how to manage the energy levels with adequate exercise and loving care. We were not sure how our girl would adapt to a strange environment and Leah provided the attention and love that she needed to be comfortable. We would recommend her to anyone who loves their pet and wants impeccable care without the worries. We will use her again if the need arises.
Leah is wonderful, very attentive and my cat loves her. I would definitely recommend her if you are looking for someone to watch your pet!
Leah seems to be a cat whisperer! Dexter usually hides from anyone but us. Leah actually got Dexter to come out of hiding and play.
Leah did an incredible job with our two dogs, who are pretty spoiled at home and very accustomed to round-the-clock attention. Leah's care and communication was clear right from day 1. The pups came home happy and sleepy which are both good signs! 10/10 would definitely trust Leah with our dogs again.
Leah is great. I was away from almost two weeks and she checked on my cat each day, feeding, giving fresh water and cleaning litter boxes. She provided pictures and written updates each day. My cat is shy with new people, but she quickly warmed up to Leah and seemed to bond with her. I would recommend Leah to anyone in need of a pet sitter.
I can’t say enough good things about Leah and her attentiveness to our pups as well as her ability/willingness to be flexible when our travel plans were impacted by delays and cancelled flights. Leah communicates really well and her daily updates with photos, videos and details of her visits were so helpful. Throughout the week Leah demonstrated her reliability, trustworthiness and commitment to providing great care for our beloved dogs. I highly recommend Leah!

As of June 2023, I am pet sitting and dog walking full time! I run an off-leash pack walk for dogs Monday-Thursday, 9:30am-12:30pm. While I’m not away from the house for long, overnight guests should be able to be left at home safely and quietly (crated or gated) for up to 4 hours at time.

Overnight guests are treated like family. I provide a crate, blankets, bowls, treats and toys. You bring the rest! Dogs are welcome on the couch and on the bed - they’ll have full run of my space as if it’s theirs.
