I, Leah, am primarily a stay-at-home mom. When I'm not running the kids back-and-forth to school, I am otherwise available at all times to keep close watch over your beloved, furry family members. I treat all dogs as though they are my own, and firmly believe that having a calm demeanor, loving patience, and being consistent with routines is key!

Safety, trust & environment

I had acquired much knowledge of general animal husbandry through specialized veterinary technician classes at Los Angeles Pierce College (Woodland Hills, CA) where I attended school prior to the birth of my 2nd son and relocating to the Sacramento area. I am very gentle & confident when it comes to dog handling, and am happy to administer medications of any type as needed. I also take specific dietary needs & restrictions very seriously. On most days, the dogs in my care remind me of toddlers in preschool ... Each pup is loved & valued for their unique personality, and all are encouraged to cooperate and "play nice" together. The dogs have independent access to our substantial, securely fenced backyard via doggy door, and there is plenty of supervised play time, ample nap time, and LOTS of love & attention for each & every fur baby. 💞🐶💞

Information Leah D. would like to know about your pet

We cater to small/medium-sized pups (max 40 lbs) and require all of our furry friends to be current on all of their vaccinations and flea/tick treatments, that they are spayed/neutered, completely house-trained (no peeing/marking indoors at all), and that they exhibit no aggressive tendencies towards other dogs, children, or adults alike. As long as they meet those requirements, they're very welcome to join our little pack!

A typical day

We live in a quiet, low-traffic neighborhood ... Perfect for walks during nice weather! We also have a variety of fun and safe dog toys to keep our furry friends busy, and a big backyard that they have access to day and night. Chasing squirrels is one of the most popular games at our house! 😆

Pet care experience

We offer a warm, loving home devoted to your pup! My husband, Jonathan, and I have been dog lovers from childhood, and have raised both of our boys to be caring and nurturing pet handlers. Our home has a well-maintained, securely fenced backyard which can be freely accessed via pet door (accommodates medium to small dogs). We offer bathing and basic grooming services as well as dog-walking in our quiet, family friendly neighborhood. We have two miniature schnauzers of our own, Bowie Rex & Xena Lou, who are (naturally) treated like royalty ... Your beloved dog will be warmly welcomed and loved every bit as much while in our care! Thank you for considering us for the honor of caring for your fur baby! 🐾 Leah 🐾 Paws4Fun in Citrus Heights!
