Over the summer months, I work at the Vet College Monday-Friday from 8-4, however I could come after work. Nonetheless, weekends would work best for me since I am off of work. I do volunteer at the clinic on Saturdays but only for a few hours. However, in the school year, I have lectures + labs every day, so I could come on weekends.

I strive to keep pets on their normal routine as much as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. Whether in my home or my client's home, I provide plenty of exercise, playtime, attention, and affection while also ensuring they always have access to fresh water and a safe environment. I carefully follow all feeding, medication, and care instructions and provide regular updates and photos to owners for peace of mind. As a pre-vet student with a wide range of clinical experience, I am also attentive to any signs of illness or discomfort and prioritize each pet’s health, safety, and well-being.

A typical day
A typical day includes walks, playtime, potty breaks, feeding, any required medication, and lots of attention. I tailor activities to each dog’s age and energy level, whether that’s a long walk, playing fetch, enrichment games, or simply relaxing together. I will also provide updates so owners know their pet is happy and well cared for, as well as send them photos/videos of their pet if they want!

Pet care experience
As a pre-vet student with diverse clinical experience, I am comfortable with dogs and cats of all ages and personalities and prioritize their safety, comfort, and happiness. I have years of experience dog-sitting for friends and family, and have been volunteering at a small animal clinic for the past while. As someone who has always owned animals, I understand the importance of pet care and leaving your pet with someone you can trust. I also have experience with various animal species, including cows, horses, monkeys, sloths, bird species, and more.

She asks questions when needed and has care and respect for both the pets and owners. Leah is a great candidate for rover as she has a love for all animals and helping people whenever she can!
