I work a typical 9-5 office job but I’m very lucky that I have flexibility with my working from home days, so I can move my work from home days to accommodate looking after other dogs.

My garden is fully secure so no risk of them being able to escape. Woody is very friendly but equally very respectful and chilled once the excitement of meeting a new friend wears off. We do have a cat so ideally any dogs I care for need to be okay around him, however we have looked after friends’ dogs who don’t get on with cats and if we are caring for a dog just for the day/a few hours then our cat generally just stays outside and out the way for the day.

Please message me to discuss any additional needs your dog has, for example any medication they take, any particular likes or dislikes, any notable behaviours etc. i know how hard it can be to trust someone to look after your fur baby so I want to make it as seamless and stress free for you and your pup as possible, a home away from home.
A typical day
I think it’s so important to mentally stimulate any dog and love finding creative games to do this. If you have a more active dog we can do lots of games of fetch or tug of war, and if your dog is more of a scent dog I know plenty of scent games to keep them engaged and occupied. We have lots of lovely off road walks from our home so can go for a long walk if your dog is active. Equally if your dog wants a slower pace all our walks are gentle and flat so we can walk them at a slower pace to suit them.

A friendly walker with an even friendlier beagle
Pet care experience
I’ve had animals my whole life, growing up with rescue cats and then I got my first dog, a Wheaten Terrier, when I was a teenager. When I bought my first home I knew I wanted a dog and in the beginning of 2023 we brought home our beagle, Woody. He’s taught me so much about puppy care, high energy and scent dogs and has given me a really solid foundation for looking after breeds people usually consider more “hard work” or “high maintenance”. Beagles are notoriously stubborn and he definitely wasn’t easy to raise, but they absolutely reward you for your efforts and now he’s such a happy, loving, loyal boy who just loves life. He loves being around people and other dogs so after using this app a few times myself I thought it’d be perfect to offer these services myself.

Leah is amazing as always! Thank you souch for looking after Ripley 🩷

Leah was great throughout. She and Woody got on really well with our Rita and Rita loved her time with them too. We had lots of pics from their walk and then again when they got home and Rita chilled in their space. It’s really easy to recommend her. See you again soon!

I can't speak highly enough about Leah. We booked her on short notice and it was clear from the meet & greet Hera was in good hands as she warmed immediately to Leah. Despite reasonably complex instructions ! nothing was too much trouble and the care of our two elderly horses and the feeding of the old friendly pheasant with a limp was quickly added to the list. We received pictures and updates whilst we were away as requested and came back to a clean and tidy house and a warm welcome from Hera. She had obviously had a nice time as the pictures of the non lap cat on Leahs lap will attest ! Will be booking Leah again..

I would definitely recommend Leah for anyone looking to have their pets looked after. Leah was very friendly and professional and went above and beyond to care for our little ones. It was an extremely hot day but having Leah helped put our mind at ease so we could enjoy a day out without worrying. We received updates and photos during her time sitting our dogs. If we need someone to care for our dogs again we will definitely rebook. Thanks Leah!
