I am currently in school at CU as a full time student so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for your furry companion! I am available to drop in on and/or walk most week days and weekends. Caring for your best friend is my number one priority and I can arrange my schedule around ensuring that they are well taken care of, first and foremost!

For house sitting: I am happy to follow your pet’s schedule to ensure a comfortable and stable transition while you’re away from your furry friend! I always like to go over typical daily schedules, preferred walking routes, pet behaviors, and home-keeping expectations with you before staying in your home with your pet. I want to make sure that you are comfortable with me staying in your home and that your fur baby is stoked to have a fun sleepover with a new friend! For boarding: I do not have a fenced in yard, but I live in a quiet, residential area where I can take your fur baby out on leashed walks. I also have access to a few large, grassy areas where your pooch can run free without fear of encountering any cars. I have two very friendly dogs: Benny, who is super laid-back, and Cricket, my newest addition who loves to play and be around new puppy friends. I can accommodate a crate in my home and can stick to the regimen that your pet follows in your home.

Information Leah B. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has any significant fears (loud noises, other animas, etc.) or behaviors (unfriendly with dogs or children, dislikes being touched in certain areas, etc.) before they are solely in my care. If your pet has any medications they need to take in my care, I am happy to work that into my care plan. If your pet has any physical limitations, please let me know.
A typical day
I strive to make sure your furry friend is stimulated both physically and mentally while they’re in my care. I am a huge fan of walks and hikes where we’re able to stop and sniff all of the exciting smells along the way. When we’re not out walking, I’m a fan of playing fetch, tug of war, and any other games your pup may want to play. If your dog’s diet allows, I also like to use puzzle and kong toys to stimulate them mentally. I’m also willing to work on basic obedience with your pup to help reinforce any behaviors you’re hoping will stick.

Friend to all pets, big and small!
Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of all sorts of animals for my entire life. I started out as a young girl walking family dogs and caring for various small pets that we had throughout my childhood. As I became more confident in pet care, I started walking my neighbors’ dogs and stopping in to feed their cats, fish, gerbils, and turtles. As a teen, I worked as a volunteer with a local nature center and animal rehabilitation clinic. My daily work requirements encompassed caring for the various permanent wildlife residents by preparing their food, cleaning their enclosures, and providing enrichment. Now in my adult life, I have my own dogs, Benny, a five year-old, pit bull mix that I have raised since puppyhood and Cricket, a sweet, sweet cattle dog/shepherd mix that is still in the middle of puppyhood. I work hard to give him the most loving and enriching life possible so they’ll live forever!

Reviews

Leah was super communicative, sent tons of photo and video updates, and left our house just as clean (or cleaner!!) than we left it. Would definitely recommend her!!

Great experience with Leah! (: she was really sweet with our big dog Otis.

Our dog Leia had a great time with Leah and Benny. Leah responds to communications quickly and I know clearly what to expect. We will definitely use Leah again!

Leah is the best! Our cat loves her visits and we love the photos she sends.
