Guest dogs live here as a part of our family. Safety is a priority. Dogs are leashed, held or secured before opening doors, and doors are closed before unleashing when we come in. We feel that supervision is necessary even in a secured area, and don't rely solely on a fence for safety. We add an ID tag with our contact information for your dog when they stay. We do accept last minute requests. For everyone's protection and comfort, we schedule a meet n greet or a trial day for new doggie guests prior to a stay. Some exceptions apply, such as care for out-of-town guests- let's talk.

Besides veterinary, medical issues, allergies, behavior and training, we like to know all about your pet's quirks and habits, what bothers them and what they love. How do they get respond to other animals and people, do they like to have a buddy to play with or do they prefer people? Are they sensitive to touch (ears, feet, any part of the body) sound, or quick movements? Do they like massage, a back scratch, laying in the sun? What are you working on with your pets? What commands do you use that encourage them best? We love details so don't hesitate to share!

We enjoy playing fetch and "find it" with dogs, tossing string toys with cats, cuddling, playing and caring for all little critters. We believe we have a lot to learn from each other. They are such a joy ♥️

About Us Hi 👋 I’m Lea. I was born and raised here and am thankful to call Hood River home. I’ve been around animals all of my life caring for the pets of neighbors, friends, family and a professional caregiver since 2010. Experienced & confident caring for a variety of animals at all stages of life, administering medication – oral, topical, and injectable, reading body language, working with special needs, injured pets and all aspects of pet care. I’m also knowledgeable in First Aid/CPR, pet nutrition and behavior. We have a large property and a fenced backyard for exploring and play and as many outdoor breaks as your dog needs. In-home services include a wellness check even when shy animals hide under the bed. Our goal is to look them in the eye before we leave. Rates and services B&B rates are based on individual needs, not necessarily age. Most of our guest dogs have low to average energy. Our normal crew includes one-three guest dogs along with our pup. There may be additional dogs during your dog's stay. We host different families at a time when one is well-known, like a part of our family, and on a case-by-case basis. Rates for visits include multiple animals. Please contact us for details and policies and see the additional Services detail here on Rover. Holidays are an additional $12.50 Holiday rates apply to the following days.
