Pet care experience

I'll give your dog a workout 🐾❤️

Of course, I love animals or else I wouldn't be doing this. I am a flight attendant so can’t have a pet of my own so I'm looking for some pets to spoil while there owners are away. Love taking dogs for long walks along the beach, hanging out the park or anything outdoors! Doing this less for the money and more for the experience of being around animals. I am reliable and organized when it comes to appointments and special diets that may apply to your pet. I am also very flexible when it comes to scheduling the right walk, visit or dog sitting time. I love same day bookings! If you need someone last minute feel free to ring me up!

Drop-In Visits • Apr 12, 2018

Layla was wonderful! She was punctual, communicative, and followed our care instructions to a T. Layla sent me frequent picture updates during her stay and let me know as soon as she was heading out. I’m so happy I have found someone I trust to watch my fur babies and would not hesitate to use her services again.

Dog Walking • Jul 25, 2017

Layla is very communicative and friendly. She shared not only the photos of her walks with my pup, but also the route map. She is flexible with visit times and responsive to text. I will definitely request her services again.

Doggy Day Care • Jul 14, 2017

Layla was very accommadting to our time and Maddie's specific needs as a young partially vaccinated puppy. Maddie got to play with Layla's older lab Jack and came home tired from a long day of play! Would definitely trust Layla with my baby again, I felt better leaving her while I was at work because I got pictures and videos throughout the day of Maddie my pup.

Totally going to rebook with Layla! Constantly sent photos and went on walks with our puppy. To put a cherry on top, she even organized our puppy bag!

I've known Layla for the majority of my life, we grew up together in Arkansas where you can imagine, we were surrounded by animals constantly--specifically dogs. She's an extremely trustworthy person that will take care of your dog as if it was her own. Also, she is just made of love, so you can rest easy that your pet isn't just meeting their basic needs such as food, water, and walks, but they're going to have a lot of fun and feel comfortable also.

Schedule

For a young adult living by the beach, pet care might include activities such as walks along the shore, outdoor playtime, and possibly swimming sessions if the pet enjoys water. Daily tasks could involve feeding, grooming to remove sand and saltwater residue, and ensuring access to fresh water. Weekly activities might include vet check-ups, socialization at dog-friendly beach spots, and incorporating training or enrichment activities to keep the pet stimulated and engaged. It's important to tailor the routine to both the pet's needs and the lifestyle of the owner by incorporating beach-friendly activities and ensuring the pet's safety in the coastal environment.

A typical day

As a pet caregiver, there are many fun activities I might engage in with the pets I watch, depending on their preferences, energy levels, and the owner's instructions. Some potential activities include: Outdoor adventures: Going for walks, hikes, or runs in nearby parks or trails. Beach outings: If the pet enjoys water, taking them to the beach for a swim or a game of fetch in the sand. Interactive play: Engaging in games like fetch, tug-of-war, or hide-and-seek to keep the pet mentally stimulated and physically active. Training sessions: Working on obedience training, tricks, or agility exercises to challenge the pet and strengthen our bond. Exploration: Exploring new environments, sniffing around in safe, pet-friendly areas, or going on mini adventures around the neighborhood. Socialization: Organizing playdates with other pets (with the owner's permission) to encourage social interaction and prevent loneliness. Puzzle toys: Providing puzzle toys or interactive feeders to stimulate the pet's mind and encourage problem-solving skills. Relaxation time: Cuddling, grooming, or simply spending quiet time together to provide comfort and companionship. By incorporating a variety of activities, I aim to ensure that the pets I watch are not only well cared for but also entertained and fulfilled during their time with me.
