Pet care experience
Please take time to read full profile & reviews. Boarding/DayCare Stay: Rover guest(s) are allowed to lay on my sofa & snuggle with family. Allowed to sleep with the family. I take pictures, videos & try to share daily. During stay in my home, I prefer all dogs to meet slowly. Once I feel comfortable & the fur-guest are good with each other, I will allow them to play together. If a fur-kid is not interested in socializing & wants to chill alone; not a problem. Again, I do not over-board. I have worked with 100's of fur-kids & know how to manage saftey & read fur-body-language. Does NOT mean any fur-kid is dangerous in my home; but I always use fur-caution... I have at least 1 boarding/daycare Rover fur-guest daily & up to 3 or slightly more if checkin/checkout time overlap. If a regular, I will make exceptions. I may have to leave my home to check on Rover clients for drop-in visits and/or walks that may take up to an hour or more. Also life & errands happen. I feel my reviews, # of bookings & weekly repeat clients should tell you a lot about my love & care... Meet & Greet: I do NOT give tours of my entire house on a meet & greet. Front living room or porch is where we will meet & greet. All "fur-kids" must be on a leash during meet & greet. All fur-kids' must attend! During your visit, there may be other Rover fur-guest(s) including my own fur-baby that will be in another area for safety. Fur-Guest Synergy: I always check my calendar to make sure the dogs I accept, are dogs that will be in haramony with each other during fur-stay... If you have a dog that requires extra monitoring due to behavior like trying to escape or chewing on everything or male frequently spraying or high anxiety or sensitive/allergic or food aggression; my home may not the right fit! Pickup/DropOff: I am flexible. If you are going to be late or need to extend stay and/or have a change of plans....please communicate via the app aka life happens! No worries... Personal Safety: Rover only performs background checks on sitters. Anyone can create an account on Rover. I value being safe & cautious. My business mailing address is used for Rover search purposes; but my home address is within a mile. If boarding or daycare request, I will share my home address for meet & greet once we chat thru Rover app. I prefer not to share my personal phone number. I prefer all communication documented via the Rover app. The Rover app has built-in phone, text & video. It works all over the world as long as you have an internet connection. About my home: 2.5 levels, 2,000 sq.ft & almost half acre. No scary basement & my house is not setup to be a "kennel." Your fur-child will feel like they are at your home. Every room is livable & nicely furnished. Fur-free-roaming in destinated areas only. My backyard is fenced, open grass, flat & large. I have a wood fence, about 4 feet tall. I have outside camera's surrounding my home & inside cameras. While outside, I am frequently monitoring fur-kids & I have dog door that is open when I am at home; but will also close/lock. The porch is about 5 feet tall & some stairs to reach back yard. If your dog cannot use stairs, don't worry, I will assist. My porch also has faux grass for dogs to use... What to bring for boarding/daycare: Food & treats Your dog's favorite toy(s) Bowls are not required unless special feeding bowls Longer stays = bring bed Instructions & Inventory list If needed; I have crates About Me: I have experience with all kinds of breeds. I do not over board pets & do not crate unless requested for specific reason. I like fur-kids to feel at home & loved! I have safety protocols & fur-gates between areas. I do not introduce dogs to each other too quickly. I monitor & make sure it's safe. In the past, I have worked with rescues & shelters. I have previously fostered pregnant dogs, puppies & adult dogs. Most recent, from 2022-2024 I delivered fur-babies & successfully have had over 40 foster dogs successfully adopted. I have experience on how to manage fur-kids & provide love to all! Rover Clients: Most clients are repeat & stay more than 3 days & up to 60 days. I have cared for several special needs dogs from Rover as well. I have more boarding request for dog than cat; but offer cat boarding. Drop in vists are no problem either. I prefer NOT to stay over in someones home. Rover Costs: Rover advertises each sitters pricing in BIG numbers on your search. I set my fees; but Rover manages the day/time calculations, takes 20% out of my fee & pays me after your fur-kid service is completed. Rover requires you to pay within 2 days of accepting booking. This is NOT my rule. I do not have access to your payment information. If you need to cancel, Rover will reimburse if you change your mind. If you need to modify dates or times after paid booking, the sitter has to make those changes in Rover app then Rover will ask you to approve it. Rover provides an itemized breakdown of cost before you pay as well. Please don't ask me to lower my price or go off Rover. Rover takes 20% of my fee. Plus I have to pay taxes on it. I prefer everything documented via the Rover app for my safety & liability. I offer disounts; but only for previous clients that have proved to be consistent. Thank you for understanding! Look forward to meeting you & your fur-kid(s)!! ;)

Reviews

Layla genuinely has a great vibe with dogs, it was the second sitting she helped for us and she came to pick him up with an optional fee but when Bruno was ready to be picked up, he was so excited to see her that he jumped at her with joy, he only does that with me and a few close friends as hes more shy with other people!

Layla took good care of our dog Luca while we were away. She was responsive, kind, and made sure he was well taken care of. We appreciate her help and would definitely consider booking with her again. Thank you, Layla!

Our two little girls stayed with Layla for two nights. They were very well taken care of. We appreciate that they were allowed on furniture and beds like they are used to at home. Layla also sent us several pictures throughout the stay, which reassured us that our babies were okay. We would definitely book Layla again in the future! :)

Layla is wonderful I never have any doubts leaving my dog with her, sends so many cute pictures of my dog while I am away. 10/10 definitely would recommend
