During stays I prefer that dogs are free to roam the house with me, but I understand that may not work for everyone and will follow the house rules my clients have; you know your pets best! Being a pet parent myself, I like to also provide photos and updates by default so that you can stay up to date on your pets while you are away.

Information I’d love to learn about your pets: Any special needs, diet, allergies, or medications? What are their behaviors around dogs, kids, or other people? (I don’t have kids and will NOT be bringing my dog Bailey with me, but I want to keep your dog safe on walks, so this is all good to know beforehand to avoid any stress!) During errands, how long are they comfortable being left alone? What is their normal routine and is there anything I can do to make your pet feel comfortable while you are away? Feel free to reach out with any questions!
A typical day
My favorite sits are with couch potatoes who love to hangout and cuddle while watching movies. Other fun activities I like to play with my clients dogs are “Go find it” where I hide treats around the house for dogs to find as a fun enrichment activity, or a classic game of fetch. It all depends upon what your pet loves best, I like customizing playtime to what your pet needs & enjoys. What are your pet’s favorite toys, games, or scratch zones?

Hi there, I’m Layla! I am a Physics PhD for work (mostly work from home) and life-long animal lover. I have a beagle-basset-spaniel mix of my own named Bailey “B. Bones” who is my everything. Don't worry though, when I am away from my home my partner keeps her company. As a nerd I am a big note taker, so no information about your pet is too much; I’m always happy to hear about their special dinner ritual, favorite sniff spots, or preferred potty areas. My second fur child passed the rainbow bridge this year (Appa dog made it to 13!), so I am very comfortable with giving medications and caring for elder pets.

Layla is wonderful with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, energy levels, and ages. She has experience handling dogs with health issues, behavioral issues, etc. She is a wonderful dog mom to a small dog who she raised from a puppy and is now a sweet senior. She also took great care of her senior shepherd, who in his old age had health issues that needed a lot of attention, and she always made sure to put his needs first. My senior pitbull who can be pretty picky, absolutely loves Layla. Layla has experience dog sitting and caring for dogs when the owners are out of town. I would absolutely trust Layla to care for my dog, which I do not take lightly as someone who is extremely overbearing when it comes to dog care!
Layla has taken care of my cats and dog many times, and she will always be my go-to pet sitter. She loves animals, and is very attentive and responsible. Any pet under Layla’s care is in great hands.
Layla is the most loving Dog Mom I have ever known. She cares for other people's pets with the same compassion and care that she does her own. They are not animals to her, they are children, and she cares for them with the same attention and love that you would care for a child. Layla is the only person I know that I confidently trust with my Fur Babies.
Layla is great with animals and helped me with the end of life care of my elderly German Shepherd. She made sure that he had all of his medications, that he was eating his meals (including the extra treats she brought him), and helped lift and move him to use the restroom and make sure he was comfortable. She always went the extra mile to make sure that he was happy, love, and well fed.
