A typical day
I love to mentally and physically stimulate the dogs I work with, whethee that's scentwork, puzzles, hide and seek, flushing. I always have a ball or frisbee on me and I am all about creating a bond with your dog. Our walks are typically one hour however can be adjusted for puppies, elderly dogs etc ?

Hiya! My name is Lavinia, I am 35 years old and have lived in Harrogate for 4 years with my partner and our daschund (a cheeky chap called Marley). I love all animals and regularly look after clients dogs and cats. I look after a cocker spaniel puppy on a weekly basis and teach him basic commands as well as exposing him to new environments. I also look after many cats including rescues who I have built a beautiful bond with over time. I grew up having guinea pigs, budgies, rabbits, hamsters and fish - I love all animals! My own daxie, Marley, is 3 years old and we regularly go on hikes exploring Yorkshire together. It is in his nature to be a little nervous of new people, so I am very used to animals that prefer a laid back introduction. I am a trustee for the DMTDRSG (A charity which rescues Dacshunds from the meat trade and puppy farms in Asia), animal welfare is something I am very passionate about 🫶 I work from home full time and I am self employed so I can be very flexible with hours & days of visits. I have a full clean UK driving license - I strap Marley in using a harness which clips into the seat belt and I am more than happy to transport your pets to and from your home to make life easier. I'm extremely reliable, trustworthy and happy to provide references 😊 also fully DBS checked ✔️ I can also do little jobs around the house where required such as bringing in mail, watering plants, administering medicine to your pet etc. I will send regular updates and photos and spend quality time with your pet (not just rushing in/out for a feed). Lavinia has a wealth of experience and knowledge when it comes to dogs of all sizes and personalities. She has helped me out on numerous occasions (sometimes last minute) with my dog and is incredibly reliable and kind. She also absolutely loves dogs and treats them as if they were her own. Her focus is not only on providing the dogs in her care with appropriate exercise but she also reinforces and continues their training. I find it hard to trust anyone with my dog but she really is one of the best!
Lavinia has been taken care of my cats (2) for a while now on a regular basis, and I am always super happy to book her as I know my cat's are in fantastic hands. She sends regular updates and follows instructions (what to feed, how and when etc) which helps my cats to continue having a routine while I am away. She even was able to bond with our super shy cat who usually hides under every sofa the moment the door bell rings. Will certainly book her in the future again!
