Availability

I have a flexible and reliable schedule, accommodating early morning, evening, and occasional mid-day care. Rover is my part time job alongside my part time job as a morning shift waitress. I am also a student in online college so there may be short one-hour periods I am not available as I will be attending lectures. I spend much of my free time outdoors either studying, hiking, or running with my own dog. I’m currently training for my first marathon, so I especially enjoy caring for high-energy dogs who love to run and stay active.

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety is my top priority. I strongly recommend wearing a harness and collar during walks for control and security. I don’t use retractable leashes on larger breeds but provide standard slip or clip-on leashes if needed. Waste bags and portable water are provided. I never allow off-leash greetings and will not introduce your dog to unfamiliar dogs without your permission. I'm experienced in working with dogs who use muzzles or prong collars, as long as they are being used correctly and under owner guidance. For long-term care or drop ins and house sits, I closely follow dietary needs and treat guidelines you provide. In hot weather (90°F and above) I will only walk dogs wearing protective booties to avoid paw injuries on hot pavement. (Ask me about a good brand I have a few recommendations!) For colder temperatures (40°and below or the instance of snow/ice) I strongly encourage footwear for the pups as well.

A typical day

I customize each day to meet your dog’s needs, energy level, and routine. I focus on keeping them active through breed-specific activities or relaxing on the couch with Animal Planet on the TV. Your pet’s feeding schedule will be followed exactly as instructed, including any dietary preferences, medication, portion control, or treat restrictions. Potty breaks are offered regularly throughout the day and tailored to your dog’s usual habits. I'm also comfortable working with crate-trained dogs and will ensure crate time is a positive and relaxing experience, not a punishment. I aim to make every pet feel safe, loved, and mentally engaged whether we’re on an outdoor adventure or enjoying a quiet day indoors

Pet care experience

Hi there, I’m Lauryn , thank you for visiting my profile. I hope you find comfort in my services. POLICIES (READ FIRST) - Bookings exceeding ten miles out of range require a virtual meet-and-greet prior to the actual service to discuss care and expectations. A second m+g in person can be done if wanting to move forward! This is to compensate for travel expenses. - Confirmed bookings exceeding ten miles out of range incur an additional charge of $1 per mile (applicable only to the arrival and departure of the service) I’ve been deeply passionate about dogs and caring for them since age 13; working with various breeds of all sizes and ages. I understand breed standards and have hands-on experience in basic behavioral training. I bring knowledge, care, and enthusiasm to every pet, including my own lil guy Remington. As an active person, I enjoy daily walks and outdoor time, which I look forward to with your dog. Rain, snow, or shine in here to provide a great time!!!

Lauryn was fantastic. She was organized and professional in our meeting prior to our trip. She updated through out her stay, giving us peace of mind during the trip. We would absolutely have her house sit for us again!
