I have been pet sitting since I was 16 years old. I love animals. I have pet sit dogs and owned my own for 30 years. I have been with 4 dogs at any given time. They are the companion that is always there to bring us happiness and ask for nothing but love in return. Add a pat on the head, a rub on the belly and a little exercise. Some water, food and attention. Our dogs may not be all of our life, but they help make us complete whether we are alone or with family. The world is a nicer place because our dogs love unconditionally, they are our companions. And you care enough to give them the very best at all times. I have the love, and care to help give that to your pets while you are away. What is a dog to most people : ... My perspective ... A dog isn't just a dog. They are family. Sometimes the only family you have, or can have in my experience despite wanting to have an actual family or even a loved one that loves you unconditionally, friend, family, coworker or that employer who says we are like family here than treats you like crap. A dog (or pet of some kind) always will. So a dog becomes your fur companion who fills your day with love, joy and and an unwavering spirit. From the first day you bring that pet (for me, my dogs) their playful spirit, and energy, their special gentle nature will make that dog impossible forget. They are there to comfort, to make us laugh, and to remind us of the beauty in life's simple moments. Most pets or my dogs, and I well they have a special way of making everyone feel special around them. They wag their tail like a metronome, their eyes always filled with love, and their presence make every day a little brighter. Whether we are out on adventures or just curled up together, my dogs and yours' too give us a sense of peace and belonging. When it is their time to say good bye, your heart is so heavy and filled with sadness, but you also feel so incredibly blessed to have had that dog in your life. The memories you create with your dog(s) will stay with you forever. You'll remember walks, the cuddles, and all their unique personality brings out in them. Their joy is so contagious and makes you a better person. We all need to be better persons. Their time with us is too short, they impact your on our heart is eternal. You can only wish them to rest in peace, your sweet fur baby - everyone of them you are lucky and blessed to have in your life for the time they are with us and us with them. They are always special, and their pawprints will forever be in our mind and hearts. This year ahead, that's my New Year's resolution.
