I volunteer full time remotely for a local dog Rescue. I offer a flexible schedule and can provide dog care in my home or yours as needed. I have a small dog and a “small dog friendly” medium sized dog for playmates as well as a large fenced yard!

I have years of experience with training dogs and knowledge of dog behaviors. I offer care specific to your dog’s needs and can provide drop in visits, walks or hikes and daycare or overnight stays in my home. We have a fully fenced yard in the woods.

Socialization and safety with small dogs. We have a 10 lbs. yorkie mix -he loves dogs but is very small. Prey drive? Any training needs or goals. I love to train puppies! Crate trained and housetrained? Cat friendly.
A typical day
I am an avid runner, hiker and walker. I love trail running and hiking. I will take your dog or puppy on daily adventures with my dog. I will keep your dog on leash for safety. Your dog can be free to play in our fenced yard accessed from our deck. Dog safety is my very important at my house.

There are three things that set Laurie apart from other dog sitters: 1. She is reliably caring and understanding with our pet. She gets our dog, and loves her quirks. 2. Laurie is totally dependable. She trekked through 12’’ of snow up a steep driveway to visit our pet on a cold, winter morning. 3. Laurie is proactive about resolving problems whether they are behavioral, medical or something else. If your pet won’t take her medicine, she can handle it. If your pet needs some extra TLC, she can handle it. Laurie also walks our dog, sits with her and gives her much-needed attention and checks in with texts, photos and videos. I highly recommend her.
