My home is my workspace, which means your pet becomes my 'department head' for the day! My schedule is highly flexible, allowing for consistent supervision, belly rubs, and potty breaks. Because I manage my own hours, I can easily pivot to handle midday visits or any unexpected needs that arise.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is my top priority, and I maintain a 'pet-proofed' environment at all times. This means keeping all human foods and medications strictly out of reach and scanning for any 'mischief' opportunities before they happen. Whether in my home or yours, I do a daily sweep for hazards like open trash bins or a runaway sock.

📝 TO HELP ME PROVIDE THE BEST CARE, PLEASE SHARE: ⏰ ROUTINE: What is their typical feeding schedule? Do they free feed? 🥎 Behaviors: What is their specific "business phrase"? Are they a "door-bolter" or do they have specific triggers (like squirrels or other dogs) while on a leash? 💊 HEALTH: Please list current medications, allergies, or physical limitations (like joint issues for the dog stairs). ⚡ TEMPERAMENT: Are they prone to separation anxiety, or do they have any "scary" noises they dislike (like thunder or vacuums)?
A typical day
A typical day starts with a morning stretch and a potty break, followed by breakfast and some focused 'brain work' using snuffle mats or puzzles. Since I work from home, the day is peppered with interactive play—we might head outside for some high-energy fun with the flirt pole or a herding ball. I love leaning into whatever makes your pet goofy, whether that’s provoking a good case of the zoomies, happy hippy-hops or settling in for dedicated belly rubs and nose boops during my office breaks.

Pet care experience
🐾 ABOUT ME & MY HOME 🐾 I am a lifelong pet lover who was raised with dogs and lovingly cared for my own Australian Cattle Dog until 2023. Since she crossed the rainbow bridge, I’ve truly missed having a "furry coworker." I work from home full-time, so your pet will have constant companionship and a flexible schedule for mid-day play or potty breaks. I live with my 17-year-old daughter, and we are both comfortable with all dog breeds, sizes, and cats of any demeanor. 🏡 A HOME AWAY FROM HOME 🏡 My home is fully equipped to keep your pup happy and relaxed! To help with a smooth transition, I provide: 🧸 ENRICHMENT: A variety of cognitive toys and soothing toys to keep minds active and nerves calm. ☁️ COMFORT: Three cozy dog beds and two sets of dog stairs for easy access to furniture (if permitted). 💧 HYDRATION: Three dedicated water bowl stations throughout the home. 🔒 SAFETY & ROUTINE 🔒 I am a stickler for safety! I keep human foods out of reach and constantly scan for potential hazards. I also follow your specific home guidelines regarding furniture and routines to ensure consistency for your pet. ✈️ ADDITIONAL SERVICES ✈️ • Airport Shuttle: I offer a $50 total service to take you and your pup(s) to and from the airport. • Travel Fee: For drop-in requests more than 15 minutes away, there is an additional $2/min fee per visit.

Reviews

Wonderful experience have Laurie taking care of our cat. She took such good care of him. And sent lots of awesome pictures of our good boy. Along with great updates!. Would definitely have her take care of our cat any time!

Laurie watched our dog for 8 days while we were out of the country. She was very communicative with frequent updates and photos during our time away. Our dog settled in quickly with her which said a lot. She was very attentive to his specific needs and he came home very happy. Thank you, Laurie!

Laurie was avail on short notice and went above and beyond!

Laurie was so good with my kitties! She came through at all the appropriate times, took GORGEOUS photos of them, and gave me an update with how they were doing at every visit! It made me feel very secure, and coming back to a house of cats that didn’t seem overly stressed or relieved upon my return confirmed the rest. She did a great job looking after my cats and keeping me posted!
