Outside in the big, fenced back yard first thing in the morning - ALWAYS SUPERVISED. Then out again after breakfast. Mid-morning, a walk to the park near my house. At least 30 minutes. Naptime, Playtime, More Backyard time. Another walk. Dinner and a movie (just kidding). Dinner and lap,/cuddle/petting time. And I would be sure to tell them that mom and dad are coming back.

Laurie was very patient with MJ. He was anxious and afraid to be with someone new. It took MJ a couple of days before he felt comfortable enough to let Laurie come near him. She was the perfect sitter for MJ. She was loving, caring and gave MJ the space and time he needed to feel comfortable in a new place. I highly recommend Laurie.
Laurie‘s adoration of cats and dogs is ridiculous. As realtors in the past, we used to tour houses and I had to drag her out of every house that had a pet. I have heard so many stories from her of situations where she saw an animal get hit by a car. She dove from her car through bushes and who knows what, to find that animal and get it to the vet, scratches, bites, and all. So she is fierce and loving and fabulous with animals. I would highly recommend her.
I have known Laurie for about 10 years. I actually met her through my toy poodle. Laurie owned a store near where I live, and Shayna and I visited Laurie several times a week. Laurie just doted on Shayna, and always had a lap when we came to visit. Shayna died last year, and I have since adopted a cat. When Laurie visits, her lap is now for Pixie! While Laurie has never (yet) been a caregiver for me, I believe she would be a wonderful, responsible caregiver. She obviously loves animals…and my animals love her back!
I have known Laurie for many years. I know the way she lovingly cared for her cats throughout their long lives. I have always had dogs and Laurie always loved to come visit, playing and walking with them. I wish we lived closer so she could take care of my dog now.
