Animals seem to gravitate towards me and I have a love for them that creates trust and understanding. I just really enjoy them! I let them know in all ways that they are safe and secure in my care. I have been caring for other people's fur family members for over 10 years. As you can see from the photos, most sizes and breeds and ages are part of my experience. I raised 3 exceptional dogs (others say they were, and I agree!) from puppies to seniors. In addition, I raised 3 cats and 2 rabbits and have cared for chickens. As all animals are unique, I adjust to them and what their pet parents want as they know them the best. Every pet is treated with love and respect. As a past Psychotherapist (counsellor), I understand human and animal behaviour. This is a bonus for creating bonds and becoming part of “the pack”. My experience in dealing with any situation that might arise is a testament to my ability to manage and make the best choices for your home and fur family member. When staying in homes, unexpected situations may arise. Some of my experiences while pet sitting have been hail storms, basement floods, heat shutting off, mechanical issues., pet illness, etc. All were dealt with calmly and efficiently while making pets feel comfortable. I kind of have a chill personality and the pets feel that. The pet owners trust me and appreciate how I care for their homes. Some dogs enjoy going swimming, hiking, going to the mountains or for walks in the park or playing at home. Some pets just like hanging out and I help them to feel comfortable and cared for in your absence. Pet owners have repeatedly told me they like how happy and relaxed the animals are when they return. House sitting may include special extras like watering plants, putting garbage out, taking deliveries or other things that will make you feel worry-free while away. I work part time on-line so I am available to give your pet attention, walks and chill time. My 2019 Highlander can handle any weather situation as well as transport your pets if they enjoy the car. Past clients have had special requests for their pets, such as travelling on flights, drop off to vacation areas or vet visits which are accommodated responsibly and efficiently. I will also deliver puppies/kittens to new owners. I find it is often less disruptive for the pet to be in their own surroundings in your absence. Kennels or strange places can cause stress. After doing this for several years, I have repeat clients where I have established relationships and we are excited to get together again. Animals are a joy to me and I look forward to experiencing your special pets. I arrange “Meet and Greets” before we agree so that we can be assured there is a fit.
