A Dog Lovin’ Travel Agent
I grew up with a family beagle. I loved the antics of that breed so much that I adopted my own beagle puppy (Woody) as an adult. He was the love-of-my-life for 14 years. He was with me from my 20’s to 40’s. He literally made me laugh every single day. Next, I fostered dogs. It didn’t last long as I ended up adopting one of the fosters. He was an older sweet Alaskan Malamute (Quincy) that I was lucky to have for four years. I also have experience with birds as I had a cockatiel (Punky) for 10 years. Since then, I jump at the chance to housesit friends & clients’ dogs. Often on a volunteer basis. In addition to my Beagle and Alaskan malamute, I have cared for various breeds including my Jack Russell, Chihuahua, Westie, Standard Poodle & Labradoodle.

Safety, trust & environment
Since I owned a beagle in the past, if you know that breed, they just want to run everywhere and never come back. So, I have been trained to be super careful. I was always paranoid I would lose my dog. I may be overly careful. I make sure the dog does not walk on the street side of the sidewalk. The dog must be right by my side when crossing the street. I’m always surprised when I see people with dogs on a leash crossing a road with the dog 5-feet ahead. Cars will not see a little dog. I am a homeowner and I understand the responsibility and care that is required of the home.

Laurie was again so fantastic to let us get some time away for valentine’s day! Lola always feels safe and comforted with her and is always excited to see her.
Laurie took lola for a fantastic walk and had her nice and tuckered out for when we got back. Great as always!
Laurie was excellent with Lola, as always. She got back to us for a last-minute request for a longer stay, which really gave us ease, and Lola is always so happy to see her.
Lola’s second time with Laurie and she loved it just as much! Laurie gives Lola so much love and we always feel comfortable that she’s watching her.
Laurie was wonderful with our fur babies. She was successful at winning over our challenging little Yorkie, Steve. They were very well loved and cared for, house was left clean and tidy and flowers beautifully watered. Her rates were also very reasonable. I would highly recommend Laurie for pet sitting!
Laurie took amazing care of our beagle Lola. She made us feel comfortable leaving her in her care and was friendly and professional. Our dog Lola was absolutely in love with her and we could tell she has a special bond with animals. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again!

Schedule
I work part-time from wherever I am. I bring my laptop with me. As long as I have great Wi-Fi; I’m fine. I next to never go out at night time. Although, an early evening dinner is possible. Daytime outings would happen for 2 to 4 hours. Ideally I can bring the dog with me for long walks through the city. It is so much more fun to go exploring with the dog!
