Laurie did an amazing job!! Followed all instructions on caring for our cat Rajah and we got regular updates. She did stay at our place for overnight care of Rajah and she cleaned up after herself and even washed the bedding used. Will definitely be rebooking as we felt Rajah was safe and cared for!

Laurie was great, very communicative, helpful and flexible with my changing schedule. Gave me great peace of mind to know I could rely on her to care for my boys in my absence. Thanks Laurie!!

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I’m a full-time college student, and my weekly routine gives me plenty of flexibility to care for pets. I mainly work short weekend shifts (about 5 hours at a time), and during the week I’m only in class for a couple of hours each day. That means I have lots of free time to dedicate to walks, playtime, feedings, or just keeping pets company. Caring for animals fits naturally into my schedule, and I enjoy building my day around giving them the attention they deserve.

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine consistent and making them feel comfortable and safe. I follow each pet parent’s instructions closely, whether that’s for feeding, walks, playtime, or medications. In a client’s home, I make sure their pets get the same level of love and attention they’re used to, while also respecting the home and keeping things tidy. For dogs, that means regular walks, exercise, and plenty of play. For cats and smaller pets, I provide care that matches their needs — from litter box upkeep to enrichment and cuddles (if they like that!). My goal is always to create a calm, happy environment and make sure every pet feels loved and cared for while their family is away.

Pets

A typical day

A typical day with me always includes a mix of routine care and fun! I start by making sure pets are fed, have fresh water, and get some morning exercise — whether that’s a walk around the neighborhood, some playtime in the yard, or a game of fetch inside. Throughout the day, I like to keep pets engaged with activities that match their personalities: for dogs, that might be walks, tug-of-war, or working on simple tricks; for cats, it could be interactive toys, laser play, or just cozy cuddle time if that’s what they prefer. I make sure to include plenty of potty breaks, exercise, and downtime so they stay happy and relaxed. In the evenings, I wind things down with a last walk or play session and lots of love before bedtime. My goal is always to keep pets safe, happy, and feeling cared for while their family is away.

It’s really helpful for me to know about each pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs before I start caring for them. I like to know things such as: • Feeding schedule and portion sizes • Potty/walk routines and any house-training details • Favorite activities, toys, or comfort items • Medical needs, medications, or allergies • Behavior notes (shyness, reactivity to other dogs, separation anxiety, etc.) • Any rules or training you’d like me to keep consistent (like “no furniture” or specific commands) The more I know about your pet’s habits and preferences, the easier it is for me to keep them happy, safe, and comfortable while you’re away.
