I love working with exotic animals!
I volunteer with animal shelters and have run my own reptile rescue. I worked as a vet technician assistant for over a decade and worked with animals of all sorts and temperaments. I have experience with grooming but I am currently not licensed. I specialize in reptiles and ferrets, tho I have experience in all animals including cats, large/small dogs, and some horses and birds. I currently have one iguana and I foster 9 special needs ferrets, most of which have behavioral issues or require regular medications and monitoring. I would love to learn and work more with large animals like horses, pigs and goats among others. I want to expand my knowledge and experience to all animals, as each can enrich your life in their own unique way.

I can not currently care for any animals in my home. I hope to move into a house where this might open up more opportunities.

Laurie was fantastic! She took outstanding care of our 2 cats, including giving one of them medicine twice a day. She let us know how they were doing each time she came, with notes and pictures. It was very comforting knowing our fur-babies were well taken care of while we were gone. Thank you Laurie. We will definitely have you back again!
Laurie helped me last minute during the heat wave. She went above and beyond while I was gone checking in on my dogs and making sure they survived the heat and had enough water. She was on time, a great communicator, and SO kind. I’m very glad I chose her to watch over the pups.
Laurie was fantastic! She communicated during each visit and sent pictures. I felt very comfortable having Laurie take care of our animals and would hire her again! She is very attentive, caring, and knowledgeable!
I have known Laurie for 5 years and she has been a foster parent with the animal shelter I worked with and is my personal pet sitter as well. She is fantastic with the animals. Her caring and compassion is evident in all her interactions with them. She is always patient, kind, and attentive - a wonderful animal caregiver!!

If there was anybody more passionate or more caring about animals I haven't met them. Laurie has always had a soft spot in her heart for animals big and small.

I volunteer at Washington Ferret Rescue and Shelter full time and Work part time so I will have plenty of time to care for your exotic animals.
