When caring for your pet in your home, I will follow your instructions and requests regarding feeding, playtime, or special instructions for walks. For their safety, dogs will be leashed each time they go outside, or are transported by car. They will remain on-leash at all times while outside unless expressly instructed otherwise by client. Cats will be kept indoors unless expressly instructed otherwise by the client. The home will be kept quiet, no loud music, no online gaming, and certainly no guests. I will crate the dog(s) or cat(s) if requested by the client. My goal is to keep your pet as happy and calm as possible, and reduce any stress caused by your absence.

Providing information about the energy level, preferred type of play, and preferred reward (treats, toys, or praise) will help me provide the best experience for your pet. Any medical conditions or allergies should be mentioned. Is your cat a natural cuddler or a little spicy? Let me know what level of interaction they prefer to make them comfortable. Reactive dogs are no problem! Please tell me about the things and places I should avoid in order to help your pet feel their best.
A typical day
For dogs:Enrichment games, exploring local paths and parks, outdoor nose games, and practicing leash manners with positive reinforcement techniques. I sometimes use long-lines on open paths to allow more room for sniffing and exploring. For cats: Wand games, chase toys, cuddles, brushing, and most importantly, staring out of the window together.

I have been a professional on-leash dog walker, and an off-leash walker for dog groups where permitted in the local parks. I want to know what engages and comforts your pet, so I give them the fun and enrichment they deserve. I am comfortable handling pets with special needs, and have helped cats and dogs with their recovery from medical issues, giving them medicines, special food, wound care and special exercise, as directed by a veterinary specialist. I value communication with my clients about their pets' very particular needs. When you hire me, your pet comes first!
