Ex dog-groomer returning to the pet care field
Having worked as a dog groomer for more than ten years, I have plenty of experience caring for and handling other people's pets. I retired from grooming to pursue other interests, but I miss spending my time with all my customers and their unique personalities. I'd love to take care of your pet and I promise to make sure they get the treatment and attention they deserve. My Shih Tzu, Bruce, who passed away in 2021, was diabetic, so I have experience administering insulin via injection if need be. I love taking care of senior dogs, they have so much character and charm, the more life experience the better for me! I'm confident handling dogs of all sizes and energy levels and have dealt with most breeds in my career so know what to expect from your beloved friend.

Safety, trust & environment
I have two dogs of my own so won't be bringing anyone else into their environment. However, I'm happy to care for pets in their own home, where they are most happy and comfortable. Plus I know all the best walking spots to take them on fun new adventures.

My husband and I got our first dog a few years ago and so we are particularly protective of him. We only trusted my parents to look after him when we went away but they are getting older and are not able to take him for the long walks he is used to. We had met Lauren on our daily dogs walks when she was walking her two dogs. I was always impressed with how knowledgeable and experienced she was and when she offered to walk our dog when we were away, we felt very confident that he would be well cared for. Lauren took him on lots of exciting walks and we felt comfortable knowing that he was safe and happy in her capable hands.

Schedule
I'm self-employed, working as a freelance writer, so I can be super flexible and have availability 7 days a week. Whether you need someone early in the morning or for an evening visit, I can easily make that work. I'm reliable and timely, frankly I don't have much of a life as I much prefer the company of animals to people, so I rarely have social commitments to worry about.
