Pet care experience

A lifelong animal enthusiast

Lauren here! I have always had multiple dogs in my home of various sizes. Having such a vast array of dogs means I’ve handled all kinds of personalities and lifestyles, such as: the various walkers - off leash dogs to 120 lb dog that pulls, various energy levels, even various health issues - kidney disease, thyroid issues, hip dysplasia, bladder stones, eye issues. We have always had cats, as well, so I completely understand the importance of cleaning out the litter box, providing fresh water, and even just being there for your cat whether they want some scratches or to play. With cats, I also have plenty of experience administering medicine orally, SQ & transdermal. In May 2020, I graduated with my degree in Chemistry-Biology from West Chester University that I hope to use working with animals. During my college career, I shadowed at a veterinary office for two months. During that time, I got to oversee surgeries, injections, and daily routines. For a year after college, I had been working in a veterinary office - assisting in appointments, administering medication, becoming familiar with various medications and dosaging, & even just noticing the small details. Dogs, cats, & all pets are family, they deserve the best kind of treatment and love! I promise I can be the one to give your pets nothing less than the best!

Lauren was a great sitter for our special needs dogs! He requires extra steps to his care and extra attention because of a disability and she was more than willing to learn what he needs! She provided thorough updates multiple times throughout the day and went out of her way to make him comfortable in her place. I so appreciate the attention and love she provided my dog!

House Sitting • May 26, 2023

Lauren is exceptional. She took care of all our animals on a overnight visit and got our very shy dog to open up, snuggle, and trust her to go for long walks around the neighborhood. Luna lost her appetite in our absence, but Lauren took the time and care to sit with her and encourage her eat. Lauren sent photos and videos throughout her stay and checked in frequently. She's absolutely wonderful, and we will 100% be rebooking her in the future. Thank you, Lauren!!

Lauren was an absolute DREAM! She took the best care of our Puggle and our home. She sent lots of pictures and updates that were so detailed, caring, and compassionate that I was completely at ease on my trip because I knew my dog was in amazing hands. I would 100% recommend Lauren and would certainly use her again!

Never before has anyone exceeded my expectations in as glowing a manner at a time when I needed it most like Lauren! My cat Rosie’s tendency is to usually shy under the bed but this heaven-sent petsitter was able to coax her out and send me the pictures and even videos I needed so badly to see during my vacation amidst my separation anxiety from Rosie! For this, I continue to be grateful to Lauren. In the past, Rosie would be very upset when I returned from my vacations but when I came back from having had Lauren pet sit, Rosie greeted me very happily! I have nothing but glowing things to say about Lauren yet as I fear writing all my praises would be too long a review, I will conclude by saying that if you are looking for a petsitter that is professional, reliable, responsible and not only loves animals but has a way with them, look no further than Lauren!

Perfect. Reliable. Communicative. Flexible. Easy to work with. Lauren is a dog whisperer and our dog fell in love with her! She's knowledgeable about animals on a professional level and genuinely loves them. Our dog misses her already!

Schedule

I currently have a Monday through Friday 10 am - 6 pm job. Outside of those hours, your pet is my main priority! I can head right to your pet(s) after work. As long as their medication or potty breaks work with my schedule, which I will always be 100% transparent and honest if they do not. Your pet deserves the best!

Safety, trust & environment

Inside the home, pets are welcome on the couch, the bed, the various dog beds, blankets - truly whatever they please. Any special requirements you have for your dog, I will work into my routine so your dog has that same consistency as they do in their own home - that could be: a special diet, a stricter diet, getting treats at certain times, getting their teeth brushed, etc. If it’s something that will make you more comfortable, let me know and I’ll be happy to try and provide that! In a client’s home, I try and care for the pet as close to what the owner provides for their own pet (& better if possible, but it’s hard to outlove a pet parent’s love for their own). Consistency is key on allowing that pet to feel comfortable with me in such a short time span, as they would their family.

Pets

A typical day

I live in a quiet development, once around our circle is about a mile. There are also parks near by if your dog does well in the car. I, myself, have two small dogs who enjoy all other animals and would love to play with your dogs!

0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
Dogs over 1 year old
Spayed and neutered dogs only
No females in heat
Lauren can host up to 3 pets per night
I would like to know if they are aggressive over any things - food, being stood over, having their collar/harness removed a certain way, toys. I have no breed preferences! They are all amazing and I love them all the same!
