Taking care of dogs is my dream :)
Hi :) I'm a rising senior at Colorado College and ever since I could talk, I’ve loved dogs - possibly more than people sometimes. My family has always had dogs ranging from puppyhood to senior life, and I‘ve been the main caretaker and friend to all of them. My dogs were a purebred German Shepherd named Millie & a Rhodesian Ridgeback-Shepherd mix named Harold, so I am very comfortable with medium to large sized dogs (but the little ones are just as welcome!). Since high school, I've pet sat for dogs ranging from Huskies to Pitties to Chihuahuas (and a few cats in between). I play rugby and love to hike/run in my free time, so I am more than able to meet the needs of an especially energetic dog -- However I am also always down for a leisurely walk with a senior dog that just wants to chill in the park for a while :) I just fully joined this app (after initially setting up an account in middle school haha) and am primarily here to get to spend time with some lovely animals and help them have fun. Dogs are truly a gift to the world and it's my honor any time I get the chance to be around them!

Lauren was so great and easy! She came over for a meet and greet and followed instructions so well! We have two high energy dogs and we can home and could tell she took care of them as we would. Would definitely book again!

Lauren has stayed in our home and cared for our dogs and cats multiple times. When we return home from a vacation, we can tell if our animals were given the attention they need by how the act. We trusted Lauren to take care of our pets and we would recommend her!
Lauren is the best! She was extremely professional upon our first meeting and took such good care of our pup. Lauren is a prompt and thorough communicator, punctual, dependable, and most of all, our dog adores her. She kept him engaged and well cared for while we were away. I highly recommend her!

Before walking/sitting for you I'd love to set up a quick meet up where your pet can get to know me and I can make sure we are on the same page about what your animals need from me!
A typical day
We would go on nature walks anywhere and everywhere in the Colorado Springs area. I know many trails, towpaths, and routes in town from my running escapades, so I would definitely switch it up to give the dog(s) new things to see and smell :) Beyond just walking/running - I am more than willing to play fetch, frisbee, tug of war, catch, tag, etc with your pup - I have as much fun as they do!

- I’d love to know their personality! From personal experience, I understand how important it is to match a dog’s needs for their overall happiness level. Are they playful or more of a homebody? Do they like interacting with other dogs/people or are they more introverted? Anything you can tell me about them and what they enjoy will help me improve the experience for all of us :)
