I have experience walking, feeding and caring for small and medium sized dogs for 18 years in total. I have special experience in Senior Care and following dietary requirements. I had a Jackrussel/Chihuahua called Mollie for 18 years and this gave me my main experience in Senior dog care with various ailments that come with old age. I had to change Mollie's diet to cope with her body no longer being able to process meat. I also had to administer painkillers by hiding them in food which proved a difficult task with Mollie being a fussy eater. She also lost her sight and ability to navigate her way around the house. Mollie was my best friend growing up and in my adult life, she lived a long and full life and gave me my passion for looking after dogs. I can confidently follow dietary instructions and administer medication if prescribed at required times for your dog. After Mollie's passing I have recently looked after staffy puppies, older labradors, jack Russell's, high energy sproodles, Akita's, American bull dogs, collie's and spaniels. I love all dogs and enjoy spending time with them. I would prefer small to medium sized dogs. As I still need to build up confidence and skills with bigger breeds. However I am willing to take a bigger dog if they are trained well to walk on a lead already and don't have any major behaviour issues with other dogs. I used to provide dog holidays, however my diary is now full for dog holidays in 2024 so I only offer dog walks now and drop in visits in the local area. I have not been able to take the plunge and go full time dog walking as yet. Due to personal circumstances I have had to keep my other work for part of the week. I would love to stick to dog walking instead of dog holidays now so my profile has been updated to reflect this.
