Pet care experience
I save lives for a living! :)
I previously worked in nursing, but I am now a full-time Investigator while pursuing my PhD in Forensic Psychology. Caring for others has always been a big part of who I am—and that absolutely includes animals! I have been around dogs my entire life and genuinely love caring for them. I grew up with a Shih Tzu who was with me from the time I was born until I was 20 years old. Over the years, I also had three Saint Bernards and a Lab, all of whom were incredibly loved and cared for throughout their lives. My Saint Bernards lived into old age, and unfortunately, my Lab eventually passed away from cancer. Today, I have Scrappy, who is 10, and Blue, my 11-year-old Bullmastiff, and I have had both of them since they were puppies. Scrappy was rescued after I took him in from the streets, and Blue required extra special care as a newborn when his mother became ill and could no longer nurse him. I bottle-fed him with formula and cared for him around the clock—and today, Blue is my service dog! What sets me apart from other pet sitters is the amount of hands-on experience, patience, and genuine care I bring with me. I’ve cared for dogs of all different sizes, from a Shih Tzu to Saint Bernards and a Bullmastiff, as well as puppies, seniors, rescues, and dogs requiring additional care. My nursing background has also made me very attentive to changes in behavior and wellbeing and comfortable taking detailed instructions seriously. Most importantly, I understand that someone’s dog isn’t “just a pet”—they’re family. When someone trusts me with their dog, I want them to feel confident knowing their baby is being cared for by someone who will treat them with the same patience, attention, affection, and responsibility that I give my own. ❤️🐾

Schedule
I am currently working from home so I have time to play with dogs and give them the attention and care they need and want.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I have 3 acres fully fenced in. I treat every dog with love and care as if they are my own. Just as I would want someone else to treat mine.
Pets
A typical day
We will walk around the park and the streets and take in the fresh air. I also have a backyard (not a bunch of grassy areas back there but I have a bunch of trees and bushes) and I also have a humongous pool. So, right now it is super cold but in the summer time, I like to swim with them (if they like) and we will play fetch and I pretty much base what we do on what type of puppy/dog they are. I like to cuddle alot too. Ha ha :)

- I do not have a breed preference. I would just like to know their breed, name, any medical history, foods and snacks they like and dislike. Whether or not they are trained, and if they do/do not get along well with other dogs.
