15+ Years of Loving Dog Care

For as long as I can remember, dogs have been a huge part of my life. With over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, I’ve learned that every pup is different and deserves care that’s just as unique as they are. For the past 7+ years, I’ve also been fostering dogs through local rescues. Helping dogs transition from uncertain beginnings into loving homes has been incredibly rewarding and has given me experience with many different temperaments, energy levels, and personalities. The idea of boarding dogs in my home came from a challenge I faced myself — finding a place that truly felt safe, loving, and comfortable for my own dogs when I had to go away. I wanted more than just a place for them to stay. I wanted them to feel cared for, understood, and treated like family. When your dog stays with me they will enjoy plenty of safe, supervised playtime in a large, fully fenced yard, giving them space to run, explore, and burn off those zoomies. Whether your dog loves active play or relaxing cuddle time, their comfort, safety, and happiness always come first.

I have used Lauren to watch my dogs multiple times and they always come home so happy. It’s great to have someone watch my dogs where they feel at home.

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. We’re used to having dogs around and all the activity and responsibility that comes with them, so caring for pets feels like a normal part of everyday life. When we don’t have any extras here, the house actually feels a little too quiet—like something is missing!

Safety, trust & environment

I want every pet in my home to feel as comfortable and at home as possible. I try to keep their routine and familiar comforts as much as I can—if they sleep in the bed at home, they’re welcome in the bed here; if they love curling up on the couch, that’s where they’ll be. My goal is to make their stay feel like a vacation, not a kennel stay. I want them to feel safe, relaxed, loved, and right at home while their family is away.

Pets

A typical day

I work part-time from home and homeschool our two children, so there is almost always someone around to provide plenty of attention, companionship, and supervision. Our two children are true animal lovers, just like their mom and dad, and they absolutely love spending time with our furry guests. Throughout the day, your dog will enjoy plenty of playtime, cuddles, treats, and attention. We have a 1/2 acre fenced in area where dogs can safely run, explore, play fetch, or simply enjoy some fresh air. We also have an abundance of toys, balls, and chew bones to keep everyone entertained. A typical day includes a mix of outdoor play, indoor relaxation, family time, and lots of love.

Before your pet comes to stay with me, I love to know a little about their normal routine and personality. What does a typical day look like for them? What do they love (or not love)? Where do they usually sleep at night? Are there any medications, allergies, special needs, or little quirks I should know about? The more you can tell me, the better I can make them feel comfortable and right at home while they’re here!
