Hi there! I’m Lauren, a 30-year-old internal communications business partner working for a debt charity. I work from home most of the time, typically between 8am–4pm, which means I’m around to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. Growing up, I always had a dog, and I was lucky enough to have him until 2023 when he sadly passed away at 18. More recently, I lived with my best friend and her British Shorthair, Graham (the light of my life!), which definitely turned me into a bit of a cat person too. Since then, I’ve been caring for other people’s cats whenever I can. I’ve looked after everything from playful kittens to more nervous cats who need time and patience to build trust. I also have experience supporting cats with medical needs, including urinary tract conditions, heart conditions, and ruptured anal glands (the glamour!). While most of my recent experience has been with cats (mainly due to renting restrictions), I’d absolutely love the opportunity to look after dogs as well. Having grown up with one, I’m very comfortable around them and enjoy their energy just as much. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your pet and worry if they’re getting enough care and attention. My aim is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable and well looked after, all while giving owners complete peace of mind. I’d love to have a pet of my own again one day, but for now I’m really enjoying meeting and caring for other people’s pets and giving them allllllll of the fuss.
