Hi, I’m Lauren! I’ve been a Rover service provider for 5 years and have 4 years of professional animal husbandry experience. I grew up helping take care of my family’s cat and dog, Calvin & Bailey, and frequently pet-sat for friends & family. I’m currently on Rover full-time, working with dogs, cats, and small animals. I’m actively taking new clients! Before moving to the DC area, I was an animal caretaker on a family farm, working under a licensed veterinarian for several years to provide daily care and basic medical attention to a large variety of animals: goats, donkeys, horses, alpacas, llamas, cows, sheep, chickens, turkeys, cats, bunnies, ducks, and pigs. More recently, I’ve worked with over 50 clients in NoVA/DC with dogs of all sizes, cats, and reptiles! I offer routine/repeat dog walks for your in-office days, overnight housesitting services for your vacations, drop-ins for cats, small pets, and lower-energy dogs, as well as one-time visits for when something comes up unexpectedly in your schedule.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet will enjoy the comfort of staying in their own home and walks in their own neighborhood. I love letting dogs stop to sniff the flowers, and help them practice good leash manners for safety in busy areas. In the house, I make sure pets don’t have access to potential toxins or choking hazards, and always keep a full bowl of fresh water out.

Schedule
I am typically available from 10am through 8pm on weekdays and weekends. For new clients, I prefer to set up a meet and greet to see if everything is a good fit and familiarize myself to your pet. For established clients, I accept walking/drop-in requests with 1 day notice. *I am fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19. I am always willing to wear a mask while inside a client’s home if requested.
